Lemp Mansion Restaurant - Saint Albans

My family and I ate here yesterday. We have been coming here the past 5 years every September. But yesterday, I have say it really has gone downhill, the food, and the service, we literally saw our waiter only three times, first for our drink order of which was three glasses of water a Mr. Pibb and an unsweetened ice tea, second time to bring biscuits, then last time for our bill and we got charged an automatic gratuity of 20% to our table, for what? He didn't do anything. For a party of 5 my bill was $180 for the Sunday family style meal, with three glasses of water a Mr. Pibb and an unsweetened ice tea, never has this happened in all the previous years. We are very unhappy with the food, service and price. We WON'T BE BACK!Food drinks: Priced at $100

I did not stay here so cannot rate the rooms, but the Sunday Chicken dinner was wonderful. I know it's family style but our table was just three people and we didn't ask for more food, just a take home box. Charging $5 for a take home box is silly. We elected for you to throw away the food we paid for instead. Cheap? Maybe, but that's a strange concept in my book. I think playing the game of asking for refills then paying for a container may be our next strategy.Food drinks: Sunday fried chicken dinner was excellent.

The food was like the movie Never Ending Story if you're a fan of that movie. Stayed in the Williamson suite, had the best fried chicken dinner with all the sides that was delicious and the staff was super nice. Had some spooky experiences but the scariest thing was having to literally amp your self up to simply use the bathroom which was all the way down the creepy hallway. Basically I'm totally going to go back and stay the night again.

We attending a dinner with friends over the weekend and had an awful experience. There’s maybe a total of 15 parking spots in their lot and paid street parking. Since there were 2 events we had to park BLOCKS away. On top of that, the food was absolutely terrible. My husbands burger was like an unsalted hockey puck with maybe 6 French fries on the side, and my pasta was completely flavorless. On top of that, they charged us $75 for these meals and even charged us for another couples’ meal. We will never be coming back, what a waste of time and money.

The main dining room is too dark. The food was good, but too many food choices are served for the Sunday family style dinner. It seems wasteful when it's not suggested that you may take it home.Rooms: 3/5
