Bidra med feedbackI love Vietnamese food, but it’s rare to find one that’s so vegan-friendly! This is my favorite vegetarian place in Sacramento. You HAVE to try the “Ribs Beyond Ribs.” The dragon mushroom iron pot is also extremely good—so many different vegetables! And lots of fun drinks if you’re into interesting/bougey juices/smoothies. They also have a really nice shaded outdoor dining area with misting machines to keep you cool in the summer.
The place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is really good. We ordered a karma roll, the awakening mind chow fun, and the dragon mushroom iron pot. The ingredients were fresh and the dishes were very tasty. The service is quick, the people are helpful and take the time to explain the menu.Food: 5/5
The food was delicious and a huge plus that everything suited our vegan pallete. The dragon pot was served hot, sides were appropriately sized, and the salad was ok. Everything was filling but it made me reminisce to a time where I cooked with Kinders brand teriyaki with sesame and ginger. The soup tasted exactly the same. We also had the love of my life which was delicious and very well sized that we had leftovers for the next day. The karma roll was sticking to each other and a little sloppy but tasted fresh enough. The pineapple lemonade was my favorite though. It had pineapple juice, lychee, chia seeds and just a beautiful and tasty combination of flavors.Ambiance was elegant in a casual way. The decor really tied everything together. I love cultural art in full display quietly making a bold statement. There wasn't any service (unless you count taking our order and bringing the check service) which is the charm of the place and I love that. Things were simple and without pressure which is how I love to dine. Its a drive away but I think it was worth the trip. I recommend trying this establishment at least once or twice.
Andy's was great! The service and food were exceptional. This was my first time at Andy's and was a bit skeptical at first considering the location is on the busy Broadway street. I sat outside and it was not noticeable at all. They have a great vibe and do a good job separating the restaurant from the street.
Easy to miss the restaurant when passing through Broadway and good thing too, do not recommend. Came here because my friend is mostly vegan, but occasionally vegetarian. The decor of the restaurant is nice and weird at the same time. I agree with the comments about the service being slow and inattentive. We were the only people in the restaurant and we mostly see the backs of the servers.Food does not even come close to Vietnamese or Thai taste and seems like a hodge podge of random vegetables with noodles. Price of menu items are high and quality of food is that of a bad fast food take out. The tofu tasted odd, and the noodles felt old. For both noodle dishes that should be cooked in a wok or a hot pan, huge lack of smokey flavor. How does a restaurant that serves Thai tea not have any straws? We end up using a chopstick to mix the Thai tea contents.
