Sabri Indian Cuisine - Saanich

We came here with a group of 12 for an early Sunday dinner with many allergies and gluten intolerances people. the owners/servers were great to ensure that what we ordered was safe and recommended to order what and how much food. that was so good that all mothers loved it! ends the night with a chai. highly recommended will visit again when we are back in victoria.

My friend and I decided for the buffet that was not extensive, but all the dishes were delicious and well prepared, the dining room was immaculately clean and the view into the kitchen was re-acted that it was also very clean. the personal was very pleasant...and polite and unobtrusively attentive. they have been followed for the safety of all. overall we were a very pleasant midday experience there one and a half hours.

This place is dirty, the door into the kitchen is white with black dirt over everything, it was swinging up while I was next to it and the kitchen is the same! bad service, slow at the filling of the buffet, cutlery, chai teekanne, teetassen, staff. loud in the kitchen to fight, I could not wait to come from there, forbearance!

The name of the restaurants has changed since my last visit and so the atmosphere has improved everything. the personal was friendly, the buffet layout was similar, but with a little more variety and eating was clearly tastier. we were a group of 8 and were treated attentively. we all have left a very positive feeling and I know we will visit again soon.

This restaurant has a good selection of Buffet items that include staple Indian buffet dishes like Butter Chicken, etc.. Naan Bread is made as you order and also included with the Buffet. The food on the Buffet is quite disappointing as it is very bland....It’s almost like they make a conscious effort to “Canadian-ize” their food to make it more palatable to Canadians. They don’t need to do this, as most Canadians love the spices and distinct flavours of Indian food. You can make things spicy and flavourful, without it being “hot”. The food here is neither spicy or flavourful. The curries are also very watery. It’s too bad that the food on the buffet is very bland and flavourless, because they have a decent selection of items on their buffet, compared to other restaurants. The restaurant looks ok inside, but they need to spruce up a few areas to make it look more appealing. It’s amazing how a fresh coat of paint will improve the look inside, if they only painted the doors leading to their kitchen and bathrooms. Those areas need sprucing up. Prices were very reasonable and the service was very good.
