Bidra med feedbackThis is a really real Swiss hut, and one of the best places to eat in the bergen in the gstaad area, with its delicious recipes. the menu is not extensive, but eating is delicious. they go for the bad dönner, the house specialty. it is. a chicken salad with a wonderful sauce served in a brot. it is worth trying. also suppen and steaks (meat and lamb) are excellent. the ambiente is very beautiful, with its simple but traditional style. the terrace invites skiers and is always full when the sun meets, especially during the ski season.
In July we stayed for the weekend at the Bergrestaurant Kubeliap in Saanen near Gstaad Switzerland. This was the third time and it keeps getting better. Our party consisted of 14 people (including 8 kids who loved it who all ate and slept well. Kubelialp...is a traditional simple mountain restaurant/hotel a bit off the beaten path, that has a few double rooms, 4-er rooms, 6-er rooms and one big room for groups with sleeping bags. The restaurant is decorated with typical swiss wood carved paneling and has a lovely old green ceramic tile heating oven in one corner. It is light and airy with great views out of each window. The food has been consistently very good and the wine list is great. The family who run it are friendly and welcoming. Outside there is a large wooden terrace and a very pretty flower garden and it is surrounded by beautiful views, sunny meadows and steep mountains and the sound of distant cow bells. There are lovely hikes starting from there, and they even have their own mountain version of lawn bowling which the kids thought was fantastic. I feel very lucky to have found out about this place, it is a word-of-mouth secret gem that has breathtaking views, great food and where you are made to feel at home right away. Bring your car or hike up. In the winter you can ski to it and I am sure it is very cosy but we haven't tried that yet.

Mein Lieblingsessen beim Skifahren: Möserdöner von Fümo. Kreatives, leckeres, vielseitiges und "bodenständiges" Essen mit besten Zutaten aus der Region... auch noch um 15h Ein tolles Team kocht und bedient. Wir kommen immer sehr gern hierher!!
Der Wirt kocht wunderbar. Im Bergsommer eine kulinarische Idylle in einfacher Umgebung mit phantastischer Aussicht. Man muss aber vorher anrufen. Im Winter vielleicht die beste Hütte im Skigebiet von Gstaad.
