Bidra med feedbackChantily cake for the birthday festive! Originally, I just wanted to get a sliced cake, but it was sold out for the day. It cost about $3.95. I ended up getting the whole cake. The cake was flavorful and delicious with berries in it. It was perfect tasting cake. It was $30! The store was kept clean and fully stocked. The service was good, and bakers were friendly.
This is honestly the 3rd time they try to scam people on their shopping!!! Was charged asparagus for $8.93 that I didn 't buy!!! ' Before this Thing happened I notice a drink charge for $3.49 which I don 't think I bought and not in my bag of groceries and before that was a charge of $4:00 for hot food!!!! Which I never had!! This getting serious people!! ' Check your receipt!! They act so friendly so you don 't check the tab!!!! SCAMMERS at Whole foods!!
Service- If I could give zero star I would. This is by far the worse customer service. None of these employees are helpful nor friendly. All stuck up! Employee by the self checkout gave us attitude when we can't use the coupon and instructed us to go to customer service when no one is there to help us. The only reason why we come here is to buy our dog treats. Otherwise, we won't shop here. After all the attitude we received from different employees today. Not sure what happened years ago when we first shopped here. Ambiance- definitely not a friendly store. The vibe is so heavy, even the shoppers. I do not recommend this store, will I come back here? I don't think so, I'll find my dog treats elsewhere.
I love to stop in Whole Foods every once in a while to see what I can pick up from their bakery. I'm a sucker for pastries and WF has a decent selection. My new obsession is their mini fruit tart. Ringing in at $2.25, these little things pack a punch in flavor and texture. The cream is sooo good and the fruits are so fresh with a slight tartness to balance out the sweetness. I don't get any groceries here because the prices... just wth. Why is everything at a markup? I'll ball out when my husband is an Attending lol. But as of right now, I'll just stick to their bakery which has some yummies that won't break the bank. Btw, their meat section has a very bad smell. For those prices, it shouldn't smell worse than my beloved Asian supermarkets.
How great is it to visit a great Whole Foods? When they do it right, it's so nice. I feel like this Whole Foods in La Jolla has a lot of things going for it: A big hot food area with lots of seating, a decent-sized olive bar, a bakery with various baked goods, and lots of self-checkout kiosks. I visited because I wanted a salad. They do have a salad bar here, but I didn't want to think too much, and I just wanted to pick up an already compiled salad. They do have some readymade salads, but not a huge selection. I found a chickpea curry spring greens salad, which was very tasty and felt nutritious. I kind of wish the wine section would be a little bigger, because I didn't really find too many wines that I wouldn't find at Kroger, I mean, Ralph's. I don't know if it was because I was carrying a large tote bag with me when I visited, but I saw two security guards roaming around the store. They were kind of in my proximity but kind of not. I guess that's nice that they are on top of security here, but gee whiz.
