Bidra med feedbackThe service was superb. The drinks were great. I absolutely love the atmosphere on the roof. The only thing I did not like was that the food was not hot. Both my steak and my soup were warm. I like my food sizzling hot.
The aesthetics of the place are incredible. Food and delicious and mixologist are fun and make amazing drinks.
Very good cocktails! Beautiful upstairs open air bar with cool art deco vibe. Bartenders and the manager made sure we were happy, very appreciated. Dietary restrictions: This is not recommended for pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan eaters. Very heavy meat menu.
Did I go to the same Born and Raised that everyone raves about, or did I mistakenly end up at some knockoff that 's also fancy, pricey, and in Little Italy? Came here for our anniversary dinner and, for a place that everyone hypes and reservations are difficult to snag (for the month leading up, my friends kept asking have you gone to Born and Raised yet? Have you gone to Born and Raised yet? I have never been so underwhelmed. Add in the price point and... yeesh. I 'm only going off of one dinner, but our medium rare ribeyes were flavorless (thank God I got a side of peppercorn sauce... which a ribeye shouldn 't need , undercooked, and whose level of delight was on par with filing an insurance claim. The center of our steaks were rarer than rare. No seriously, BnR presents you these impressively hefty steak knives and despite these, I got such a good lat workout cutting through my steak. Because everyone knows cutting through a ribeye should feel like using a hack saw on timber. I 'm kicking myself for not having taken photos of how disappointing looking (and tasting! these ribeyes were. Like, so disappointing I almost wanted to give mine a pep talk and tell it I supported its decision to drop out of school and not aspire to anything. For on our anniversary, COME ON Born and Raised. The sheer amount of effort I had to pour into joke telling to distract my gf from pointing out the food she still managed to sneak in a wry this is pretty good, I guess, as if trying to convince herself was psychologically taxing. Still, worth a few stars for the quality of service staff and the skill that went into the cocktails. Also, wasn 't expecting the ambience to be 1 octogenarian couples also celebrating their anniversaries... but old couples are always really cute, and my girl and I enjoyed the people watching. The rooftop is fantastic (see photo , but they sat us in the middle of the ground level which, apart from the cute old couples, matched our steaks thematically. Later in the evening, the ambience changed to more Real Housewives of Del Mar... which I suppose makes sense when you stick a restaurant in Little Italy. This must have been a one off (or two off, since we both got ribeyes given how everyone loves this place, but any competent back of the house staff should 've spotted this trainwreck, especially for a table celebrating an anniversary and for whom the bill equaled a mortgage payment on a Central Park adjacent pied a tére. If I knew BnR 's GM, I 'd gift him or her a Will Guidara book.
The wait was pretty long we've got seated about an hour after our reservation. Once we were seated it amazing along with the rooftop view, the music, and food.
