Bidra med feedbackExcellent meal after I accidentally landed in Ladysmith. At first I noticed very modest prices for BBQ. This place definitely didn't try to break the bank. That could have been bad. I was worried for a moment that I would end up with the BBQ gas station of questionable foreclosure. Fortunately, that was not the case! I ordered my BBQ to Brisket, Coleslaw and Fritten. The Coleslaw was creamy and fresh, the frits crispy and tasty and the brisket had the right cha with the fat everything but on the whey you want. It had lost some internal color, but this is a pass because I ordered it closed 30 minutes before the store. It melted in the mouth and was not chewing at all. The actual star was the bungalow that came with the plate. It was slightly roasted, buttery and delicious. No drop of Wonderbread. The Brisket, Coleslaw and some of their BBQ sauce made an excellent sandwich. When I eat several people, I came in and out, so it's clearly a popular hole in the wall with the locals. My only concern was that the place seemed to have some maintenance problems. The soda machine seemed to be unoperable, there was a visible blanket and the canned drinks served sat in molten ice water instead of ice itself. I also wish there was a spicy option. I'm not worried, sweet BBQ sauce, but I personally prefer mine with some zipper. None of this distracted from food at all, but was slightly depleted. All in all, 4 stars to a very nice little restaurant. If they sort out the beverage situation, maybe issue a bottle of tabasco and fix this leak, just a 5-star recommendation.
Great place with delicious food! People are pleasant and friendly. You have the best bride here!!
It was my first time today and when I was stuck in the ribs. You can taste the smoke and the sauce was too good. Even the corn bread was good. Will be back soon. Good food.
I visited my husband's nephew in Doswell, VA for a baseball game and stumbled on Square Fire BBQ. This place found in a small shopping center and didn't know what to expect. I ordered half the rib and they were so tasteful and juicy. My husband ordered the bride and he loved it too. If you are in the area and are in the mood for barbecue, I recommend stopping!
First time coming in. Wife and I decided to split the BBQ sampler platter.. As you can see there was more than enough to share. Sweet based sauce but not too sweet. The pork bbq is juicy with a neutral flavor for lack of a better term. It goes well with the sweet or vinegar sauce on hand. The ribs are also good. They have a nice cooked on glaze and are cooked al dente vice fall off the bone which is really the way ribs should be cooked. The smoked sausage was also really good. Cornbread is sweet and moist. Beans may have a little extra seasoning but they are what they are which isn 't bad. The only minor complaint was one of the ribs was more bone than meat, but the overall quantity of food balances that minor issue out. The crew is polite and checks on you while you 're eating and makes sure you don 't need anything else. Overall, this has been a great experience and we 'll be back.
