Bidra med feedbackWhat a lovely pub.Met my son and family from Kent for Sunday Lunch.Had the choice of small medium or large meal .The small or medium meal is enough if you want a desert.Meal came out boiling hot with 7 different vegetables, roast and mashed potatoes,Yorkshire puds and lashings of lovely gravy.Nice choice of deserts too .Very good prices too.The pub has a nice and friendly atmosphere with lovely staff.A real gem.
A lovely little local pub with the best Guinness on draught, just a shame there is no outside space as we love a pub garden.
I saw a very nasty scene at this pub on Sunday, the landlord approached a man sitting in the corner and said I've been watching you, you've been talking to yourself and you're a nutter, get the f.. out of my pub ! The man in question was a well spoken, quite jolly man, and was obviously upset by the viciousness of this ignorant,foul-mouthed, horrible landlord. It was my first and last visit.
This restaurant offers the best Sunday lunch around. It's great value for money and has more variety than any carvery. There's plenty of choice, but if you like dessert, avoid getting the large portion as you might not have room for both.
We had new windows being installed in our home, so things were a bit chaotic. My wife suggested we go out for lunch at a local pub. The Golden Lion is a short walk from our house, through Manor Park, and we knew they served food during weekday lunchtimes. The pub had been refurbished since our last visit, but the welcome was just as warm as before. Paul poured me a great pint of London Pride. The menu had a good selection, but what was really special was the pricing - buy a drink and meals could be as little as £3.50 per person. My wife and I both ordered the Chicken Burger, which was delicious. It arrived quickly, was nicely presented, and came with a generous portion of chips and a light salad. It was a great meal for a great price of £3.50 per person.
