Bidra med feedbackI enjoyed eating at lemon chillies. The food was tasty and good portion sizes. I ordered the chicken tikka and chilli paneer. Both did were great. Had some butter naan and hot and hour soup. The soup was not on the menu but the chef was happy to prepare an order which was nice. I would be happy to eat again here. Friendly staff.
Visited this restaurant recently. Don't be put off by the simple decor We were surprised by the breadth of the Indian menu and the quality of the food. Very much traditional tasty food as if straight out of India.
Today's much anticipated Indian Kerala lunch with my friends and fellow foodies Kan Do and his wife! Arriving early I read a few Zomato reviews on the restaurant before walking in and I see my guests have arrived before me. <br/ <br/ Our ever resourceful Kan Do has already ordered our lunch. Great, not long to wait for our spicy feast! Joseph the owner/manager provides us with cold water and a plate of fresh poppadoms with dips. A nice snack while we are chatting. <br/ <br/ Soon our lunch order is served. The Kerala Paratha (similar to Roti Canai), is hot off the pan, light and fluffy. Perfect and the best I have tasted in Brisbane. Rating: 5.0/5.0<br/ <br/ The Masala Prawns are very fresh and the gravy is spicy and so tasty. Rating: 4.5/5.0<br/ <br/ The Stir Fried Kerala Beef overwhelms me with the taste of several different fragrant spices. Prior to serving, a handful of curry leaves is tossed among the beef cubes by the chef. I squeeze a wedge of lemon over the beef and this dish is perfection. Rating: 5.0/5.0<br/ <br/ The Kerala Red Fish Curry is usually cooked with barramundi says Mrs Kan Do. The chef today substitutes Atlantic Salmon and the large cubes of fish are a tad dry. Fortunately, the red curry gravy makes the fish palatable. Rating: 3.5/5.0<br/ <br/ The Yellow Lentil and Spinach Tadka is served piping hot and being a meat lover I am surprised at how much I enjoy this vegetarian dish. Rating: 4.5/5.0<br/ <br/ We finish our spicy meal sharing some cool Indian desserts. Mrs Kan Do selects the Cardamom Kulfi (an Indian ice-cream) and I choose the Mango Sago Pudding. The desserts are nicely presented, delicious and refreshes my palate. <br/ <br/ Thank you Mr and Mrs Kan Do for sharing this Sunday lunch with me and for giving me an education on Indian cuisine. I will be returning soon with more friends. Well done Lemon Chillies!
Ambiance (A)<br/ This restaurant provides a relaxed setting with its simple decorated interiors. Cert clean, neat and with the right amount of lightning. <br/ <br/ Food and Beverage (F&B)<br/ There's no specific dishes to mention. I've been here 3 times and everything I've had was satisfying. I must comment that curries were authentic and flavourful. Naan breads are on point. All and all, I'd have to say Lemon Chillies had set the standard for Indian/Nyonya cuisine in Brisbane. In terms of value, portions are decent as quality is superb. <br/ <br/ Service (S) <br/ Floor staff as well as the manager /co owner was very attentive, friendly, and polite. They would heck on you and your food, provide water and attend any needs. <br/ <br/ OVERALL<br/ A : 5/5<br/ F&B : 5/5<br/ S. : 5/5<br/ <br/ FEEDBACK : One of my favourite Indian restaurants and I would definitely recommend to others.
