Nice friendly atmosphere with a quirky sense of humour about the place. We stayed for drinks, dinner and then for the night in the ample car park in our camper. Very quiet night. Such a great idea. Good choice of beer! We stopped hear on the way to friends in the south. Coming from Up north

We booked the barley barn for my 40th birthday party. Kelly was so helpful from the start. Great communication and very accommodating to all our needs. Food was great and beautiful balloon arch and chair covers. The whole day was just perfect! Thank you Kelly and family

I booked the Barley Barn part of the Barley Mow for my 40th birthday party. From the start Kelly was brilliant, giving advice and guidance about decorations, food etc and being generally a lovely, personable host! All needs were catered for easily and I was really impressed both with the quality of the food provided for the party (pulled pork baps, accompaniments, sausages etc for the kids) and the decorations. Indeed, Kelly really outdid herself with the latter fabulous chair covers and balloon arch! On the night both her and her husband could not have been more welcoming and attentive; it really made for a fabulous party that will be remembered for a long time. Many thanks!

Probably the only pub for miles around that serves food on a Monday. And to get that we had to order before 7pm. The only real ale tasted of detergent and had to be changed for something else. The two things on the menu we wanted were not available. The breaded mushroom starter was so over-fried that it splintered everywhere when I put a fork through it and the burger whilst very large was over-grilled. Staff were pleasant and the pub is clean and tidy. But the quality of the food and drink let it down badly.

Lovely pub in beautiful rural location. Amazing manager who can’t do enough for you. We arrived after the kitchen had closed but he provided us with lots of other solutions. Would definitely return
