Bidra med feedbackIt was fine. Basic diner at best. Staff is great, most have been there for years. It would be so much better if they did two things. 1) relax on the salt. The soup tasted like a salt lick. 2) bring back as much of the nellos menu as possible as the recipes were superior. Lemon rice soup was 10/10, this place currently is 4/10 on lemon rice. The current burger is a gross flat disc that is barely meat compared to the old great beef Pattie's at nellos. The chicken and veg stir fry, Maurice salad, clams, the list goes on....
We ordered this as takeout for a brinner. The food was OK but my big issue was I ordered chocolate chip pancakes for my kids and they forgot, so they tossed them on after the fact. Just not the same. Besides that my wife loved their s'mores pancakes. I had the Apple cinnamon French toast and it was just took much. It was like eating an entire apple pie. The French toast in its on was good, but the other stuff was just took much.
Decent place to grab breakfast. I tried gyro sandwich and it may be a little dry but its okay.
The food was good but it's been months since I placed and received an order from them so I really wouldn't know. Listen to the other reviews and don't give these people any business, recurring issues with orders placed and cancelled and lousy food.
Such low ratings for this place. It was Nello's long ago. Ordered a Zoe's specially skillet, large Greek salad, feta on the side and onion rings. Our waiter seemed attentive and on it and then it went downhill after the onion rings came out. The Greek salad is so-so. The lettuce has some rotten bits in it. The tomatoes aren't ripe and the beets are water logged. The yellow peppers aren't good either. The chicken is way overcooked, dry and cold as well. My salad is essentially a basic salad with the yellow pepper, rotten lettuce, beets and anemic tomatoes have been removed. I asked for my dressing to get the rest of the lettuce, bone dry chicken and kalamata olives down. The chicken in the Greek salad is so dry and brittle that sticking a fork into it breaks it apart immediately. Ask for bbq sauce or ranch, you will need it to get the dry chicken down for sure. The onion rings are clumped together in 3 ring clusters. They are not crispy enough either. The breading is not too heavy at least. The waiter brought me back the same batch of onion rings with the same clumps and had them fried longer. He asked if they looked better. I said no and they are still clumped together as well. He took them back. The third attempt looks like my first batch of onion rings were separated and almost burnt to a crisp. Another waitress also brought it to us. The Leo's skillet was so-so. The potatoes tasted soggy and from a frozen bag mostly. I get why this place has only 2 stars now.
