Trattoria Da Luigi - Royal Oak

I visited this restaurant for a date on a Thursday evening. I am unsure if they close at 10pm or 11pm on Thursdays, but that uncertainty turned out to be a positive as my date and I arrived around 7/7:30pm and stayed for hours, enjoying the wine and the atmosphere. We were one of the last tables to leave, but we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. We ended up staying until around 10:30pm, thinking it was okay since there was another group of men at a nearby table who seemed to be staying and chatting as well. It turns out that last table was actually the owner and his friends, so we apologize if we overstayed our welcome. They never gave us any indication that we needed to leave, which was greatly appreciated. We were so engrossed in the wonderful atmosphere, food, and wine that we lost track of time. The restaurant and staff were both fantastic. This hidden gem in Royal Oak is definitely worth visiting again and again!

An exceptional restaurant. everything we ordered was scratch made and fantastic. we are going back next week.

I was a bit disappointed with the entree. The marinara sauce was pretty bland. The Leminchello cake was delicious.
