Bidra med feedbackIt was like finding an oasis in the desert. Like every time in the early morning on Sunday, I found a Korean restaurant while I thought about what to eat. A Korean restaurant opens 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, something unknown in the United States. First, the taste is authentic and it is a restaurant with clean atmosphere and hygiene was also very friendly service. In Korea there are many 24-hour restaurants that you can eat when you drink late with your friends or go out early in the morning, so I could feel a lot Korean. The time I went to the transplant party was 7 a.m. How many restaurants can I eat with soup? If you want to know the taste of Korean and Korean culture, I recommend visiting you. I ate seolleongtang and yukgaejang in the popular breakfast that the Koreans enjoyed, but the other food also looked delicious. The price of breakfast special menu is $11.99. I recommend you to go here instead of the Fast Food Restaurant Breakfast menu if you have no objection to Asian culture. I hope you can feel how comfortable it is when you put warm soup in your stomach.
I had a great experience here at Sun Nong Dan, it was one of those rainning cold winter night and I was out looking for winter comfort foods. We picked Koh Galbi Jim with cheese, it comes with a large portion of hot pot, well fed all four of us with some leftover too. The Galbi were sweet, super soft and tender.Fire Torch of the cheese was a fun experience, the cheese went great with the meats! Heard this place open 24/7, I shall return for more soup and meat in the near future.instagram.com/reel/Co0Fx…
If you want some delicious galbi or flavorful Korean soup, come here! Heard so many great recommendations and Sun Nong Dan lives up to the hype. For my party of 5, we got 2 soups, one galbi tang and one beef cheek soup (soh muh ri gom tang) and a large koh galbi jjim. The size difference per our server were the medium serves 2-3 and large serves 3-4. We definitely should've have gotten a medium instead of a large because it was huge! Had to pack up over half our galbi jjim since we couldn't finish everything. Regardless, the flavor was authentic, homey and the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I loved how the potatoes are not over cooked or too starchy. The tteokboki, chewy and fresh just like I like it. In general, all of the meat at Sun Nong Dan was thickly cut and tender. Even in the soups, the brisket and beef cheek pieces were large and plentiful. Both soups were not too oily and was some of the best I've had. Highly recommend any and all of their food here! Even their ban chan was tasty. Their kimchi is fresh but packed with flavor so it's crunchy, sweet, and spicy! Get their purple rice for sure! It's very fluffy but note that they charge for extra bowls. Service was great, everyone was very attentive and call button was convenient after we got all of our food for any ban chan or water refill requests. The decor of this restaurant is simple, clean and homey compared to other galbi jjim places. Really enjoyed the chill family friendly environment here!I didn't have to wait in line on a Saturday around 2pm. Parking is easy in the parking lot.
Prepare to wait if you come during the peak hours during the weekends because the food is absolutely fantastic. Also, be ready to shell out more money than you expect because it 's a pricey dining experience, but worth every penny. Let me preface this by saying that I 'm very partial to the Korean cuisine far more than other cuisines, so I naturally enjoyed this meal a ton. We went balls to the wall and ordered the Koh Kalbi Jjim (large with rice cakes, no cheese) and a Galbi Tang for 4 people and it was awesome. Firstly, the Galbi Tang is a clean broth and very flavorful. It so happened that it came out far earlier than the Koh Kalbi Jjim, so split 4 ways was a nice appetizer. The Koh Kalbi Jjim is a monstrosity of flavor and size. It was freaking incredible. The sweet soy umami flavor mixed with beef was out of this world. But at over $100 for size and added rice cakes, it 's definitely a splurge, but would highly recommend. Just look at the pics. It 's wild. Protip: come around 5pm on the weekends so that you don 't have to wait for a long time. If you come between 6-7pm, expect to wait a while.
My mom loves this place. She really liked the one in LA, so we decided to take her here. We got seated right away. They already has sides on the table for us. Our server was Sam. he was really great. Super helpful and very accommodating. Suggested so many different dishes to try. We got the koh galbi jjim, it feeds about 4-5 people It was really good. It was very heavy, for me, But very flavorful, the cheese on top was even better. We couldn't finish it so we brought it home. We also got the galbi tang, which is a soup. I think it was my fave. The mushrooms were so good I ate them all. The only thing I didn't like, was the bathroom smelled so bad. It was very clean but the smell, made me want to throw up. But other than that it's a must try.
