Bidra med feedbackMy family enjoys certain dishes but they are inconsistent each time depending on what ingredients they decide to use. Still I go back and try to be understanding. The staff are always friendly but I do not think they are there anymore. Who I see all the time is who I precieved to be the owner. I do not know if I be going back anymore base on business practices and attitude. I always do takeout now due to covid. I have in the past called to place my orders. They are inconsistent in answering the phone and when they do, do not understand what you are ordering even though you are reading from their menu. Then it was easier to do online ordering via ChowBus. It worked except they do not read the ordering notes. Today, I tried to call in my order. No answer so I just ordered through ChowBus. When I got there, she said she does not take online orders. I told her I paid already and she was annoyed and acted like this is my problem-not her's. Then I found out she does not accept ChowBus. ???? I then asked if I can place a order and she said no as they were closed even though I was there before their closing time. Then I asked which day they are closed? She unpleasantly said we are close tomorrow. I aways been a easy customer. Usually my orders are over a hundred and I have sympathy for business so I tip always when doing to go. In return I get no appreciation. All I get is the expression that I am not wanted. Now I have to figure how to get my money back.
Nah, go to chili king for better taste. This is just plain spicy
A good restaurant with Chinese special cuisine has very good service. The waitress helped us take pictures, and the dishes are very good taste and quickly. The price is reasonable.A perfect experience here.
Delicious food with ample portions courteous staff! Try Mao's Braised Pork Belly the bean curd with julienne peppers!
Just see the pics- absolutely amazing. This the the gold standard as far as I 'm concerned for Hunan food in LA. We ate beer braised duck, beef with cilantro, XLB, bone broth, eggplant 'casserole '/stir fry? Sautéed lettuce stems and fish head 'casserole '. The term casserole is used VERY loosely. The XLB was for the kiddo and ok, but not really Hunan. The fish head casserole is a must have. Delicious! Spicy, sweet, salty and tender, delicate meat! The silky tofu was just a bonus to gobble up with the sauce. The duck was delicious too but the veggies really were my favorite after the fish head. I 've never had lettuce stems cooked this way before but I will be ordering them every time from now on. So crunchy and seasoned so well, I would 've eaten 2 orders if I had more time. The eggplant had the most perfect texture- I 've never been able to get my eggplant to stay this crunchy! Not at all greasy or mushy- I could not get enough of this! So perfect! The bone broth was an excellent soup to help wash everything else down and accompany the rice. We requested mild heat on most of the dishes but I realize I could 've taken a bit hotter. Still it 's not as if it lacked heat either. I was so sad I didn 't have room in my stomach for more! I have no idea what all the bad reviews are about- I blame the reviewers. It will probably go better if you have someone in your party order in Mandarin, though, haha! I would give 6 stars if I could! The service was fast and courteous, and the food could NOT have been any better!
