Northern Farmhouse Pasta - Roscoe

The most delicious Italian food I’ve ever eaten. Very warm and attentive service. We will definitely make our visits here a family tradition.

Highly recommend making reservations. The pasta was delicious and unique. We love Pasta Forma and Antica Pesa in Brooklyn and A Pasta Bar in Manhattan. And this is comparable in quality and taste. Don’t miss out on the meatball appetizer! Super small, family run restaurant.

Last weekend, we visited Roscoe, NY for 2 days of family, fun, food and golf. The town calls itself Trout Town, USA, has a population under 500 and is located right off Route 17 about 2 hours from NYC, CT and eastern PA. The highlight of our trip was visiting the Northern Farmhouse Pasta restaurant which is located in a converted 200 year old farmhouse. Bob Eckert, the owner and chef, makes all of the pasta with 100% local wheat flour and use local meats and produce to create a unique farm to table dining experience! For starters, we had a delicious Chopped Salad, “Nanna’s Meatballs” (in a to-die-for homemade red sauce), and a small order of their “Gnocchi alla Sorrentina.” For the main meal, we shared an order of Capasanta (Scallops), Carbonaro di Roma (which brought me back to my recent trip to Rome) and the Anatra alla Bolognese (made with ground duck). Besides growing up in a large NYC Italian family, I’ve eaten more than my fair share of Italian food in cities throughout the USA and in Italy but I must say that this restaurant is absolutely one of the best! Checkout their website, Facebook and or Instagram…just reading the menu makes me hungry to return and try something new! If you have a chance, try this restaurant but call ahead for a reservation…more often than not they are completely booked! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are available

Excellent food in an excellent area. Bob and his crew do a fantastic job, super personable, and are very welcoming. Great food, great people, a must try in not only Roscoe, but all of upstate New York!

We had a date night on vacation and it was incredibly good! Amazing flavors, we will definitely have to come back if we're in the area again.
