Pico Gelato Piazza Bologna - Roma

Great gelato at a great price. we stay in an airbnb opposite pico and we pass it every day. determined to stop and it was fantastic.

The gelato of pico is extremely good with strong, striking aromas, and the servier sizes are large and fill. After a disappointing snack on the afternoon we went here and tried to finally have something good: oh thank you pico, thank you for feeling back in...peace with the world! very nice small ice cream shop, not far from the piazza bologna subway station, they have a choice between 15-20 aromen, all natural ingredients and homemade, and they told me that they change in the rule from time to time, and that is very nice and we appreciate that in a gelateria! especially we enjoyed the zabaione, the ecuador 76% chocolate and the dulce de leche aromen. the consistency of her gelatos lies on the soft and creamy side and each cup comes with a waffel chip. it is the hands down the best place to get ice in the nomentano neighbourhood and certainly one of the best in rom. the quality of the gelatos is top notch and there are always delicious new flavors that the staff try more than happy for them. very moderate prices, helpful and friendly service: the girls behind the theke are simply enchanting! this place is super busy, so be ready to wait! recommended.

We had cheesecake, chocolate, tiramisu and banana ice cream and it was delicious. prices are also in order!

If you are in the area of piazza bologna/villa torlonia there is no better place to enjoy a true organic artigianiale (home made) ice cream. We are an Italian family in love for ice cream: we tried all the places in the area and without...doubt Pico is the best place to go to (at the same or even better level as other famous ice cream places of Rome city center such as Come il latte or Fata morgana or Gelateria del Teatro Pico offers a very good choice of organic seasonal flavours (the menu changes on the basis of the ingrdients available each seasons). Do not hesitate...just go and enjoy!!
