Bidra med feedbackWe had early dinner on a beautiful evening and sat on the deck overlooking the garden. Extremely relaxing with a beautiful drink. I have the mushroom soup that was excellent. Our waitress had a basket with fresh bread and warned us that it was hot from the oven. I used a piece that wasn't intended for the olive oil dip to eat with the soup. Dinner was great, Pescatore with many scallops, shrimps and Calamari, finished with crème blue. I think we have found our new anniversary goal.
Great! The couple that owns it is so welcoming and friendly it shows throughout the restaurant. The building itself is a pleasure to visit and see in a beautifully renovated old 1800s farmhouse complete with wood burning stove and I saw a beautiful terrace outside for the summer, but the food is the reason to come back! All we got from bread with pesto oil to the soups to the strips steak special then to the carrot cake was OUTSTANDING! We also had a few Fiddlehead IPAs on design that were nicely chilled and freshly raised. Highly reccomending makes this a stop when you go through the Rout 91 just minutes from the highway and sooo much better than a fast food truck stop. The menu had a few local products and love supports small businesses! We will definitely come back.
What a fantastic place we stumbled! It was our first time we visited the weekend. We didn't know what to expect, but the menu looked super online. We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere when we went in the door. It has the quintessential antique Vermont feeling. We sat at the fireplace, a wood stove. The owner Leslie stopped at the table shortly after the welcome. Her husband is the cook, and she told us how everything started. We were happy to chat with her and hear everything from the beginning of the restaurant to the signatures and cocktails. Now for food and drink! First, the pomegranate martini was incredible. You have to ask. I don't know that this will be a regular offer as it was a special one on the board when we came in. So glad we tried, we had several at the table. The pig's stall was the tenderest and most delicious I've ever had. We learned that the pig came from a local farm. You can say it absolutely. The Butternuss quash, which was served together, was literally the best I ever had. One of the two “secret ingredients”, a little orange juice in it! We had to ask because it was so good. We also have the chicken cure, delicious! Steak was perfect. All ingredients are fresh. Every dish must be ordered. It shows! Whenever possible, the ingredients are produced locally. That also shows! We loved the atmosphere. Casual, picturesque and cozy. We will definitely come back! Thanks to Leslie and her husband, the cook! It was an unforgettable evening.
There is a limited menu BUT the food was EXCELLENT! The soups were delicious; the filled mushrooms were absolutely tasteful, the duck breast was moist and tender and the green beans were blown PERFECTLY. Will recommend this jewel to everyone.
Oh my goodness! The most delicious food and a most wonderful hostess, Leslie. Thank you.so much. Our family enjoyed it! We didn't get to meet cats, Bell and Tony, but will next time! :
