Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Rochester

My friend and I ordered smoothies and left a tip, but we were disappointed. The smoothies weren't blended well and weren't made correctly. Given the price we paid, we expected much better quality. It seems like this location has been facing some challenges recently.

After dedicating 4-5 years of hard work at this location, I am incredibly relieved to no longer be employed here. Each passing year seemed to bring more decline in the workplace. While I truly love working at Tropical Smoothie, I can no longer recommend this specific location. The experience has been very disappointing, from the ownership to the customer service. If you're seeking great service, smoothies made correctly, and quick wait times, I recommend checking out the new location on 26 and Van Dyke. They have amazing teamwork and excellent efficiency!

I usually enjoy TSC, but this location was disappointing. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed or what, but when I walked in, I waited at the register for about five minutes behind another girl who was also waiting. No one acknowledged us at all—there was no “We’ll be right with you, sorry for the wait” or anything. The staff behind the counter didn’t seem happy either. Eventually, I decided to leave without placing an order.

I've never given a one star before, but I was extremely disappointed with the way the drive thru staff behaved. We tried reaching out to management about our concerns to be met with no response. Avoid this place if you can!

Accidentally ordered from the wrong location but was only 5 minutes further of a commute from work so didn't cancel... wish I had and ordered from my regular TSC because this was awful. Ordered a smoothie/wrap combo and there was an issue with every single item. First, the kale apple slaw had about 3 pieces of kale in the entire side dish and was bone dry. The smoothie (Detox Island Green) was extremely watery and had no added whey protein which I paid extra for. The whey has a pretty distinctive taste so you're 100% able to tell when it's been added to a smoothie. Finally, went to eat my wrap (Hummus Veggie) and it's soaked with some sort of taco/hot sauce making it practically inedible. I can't tell you what the sauce was exactly but I can tell you that it doesn't belong on the Hummus Veggie as this is the only item I've been ordering for over 5 years. Extremely disappointed because I've wasted my lunch to drive and pay over $15 for a lunch that I can't even eat.
