Bidra med feedbackI have never tried ice cream made from an anti-griddle before. I've seen videos on YouTube but it was really cool seeing ice cream being made in front of you on the spot. I started with a rolled ice cream with a Thai coconut base, chunks of fresh pineapple and mango. I then topped it with coconut and drizzled with a sweet milk. Ice cream was light and very creamy. No brain freeze which was nice. I did try the banh mi and that tasted fresh with a soft bread. The only issue I really had was with the interior. It seems slightly run down for a newer venue. Outside of that I have no complaints. The staff was very friendly and was able to answer my questions as I am new to rolled ice cream. With its vicinity to places like Lux or just being in the Southwedge area, I can see this as a convenient spot for summer or even grabbing a sandwich before the bars.
I loved this place SO much!! The person who was working when I went in was great and super nice. I loved how many choices I had to customize my ice cream, and they even let me sample an ice cream base when I couldn't choose. I had never had rolled ice cream before, so the whole experience was super fun. It was super fun to watch the process of ice cream being rolled right in front of my eyes, and then of course, it was fun to eat my ice cream! The person who made my ice cream definitely had a lot of fun with it and made it very entertaining. I got bananas as a mix-in and they tasted so fresh. I loved that it was an option to have a Nutella drizzle. Then to top it all off, I even got a Reese Cup on top! They were also a mix-in that I chose, but I was not expecting to get a whole one on top. The end result was definitely Instagram-worthy and delicious!
This cafe is in a small town of downtown of Rochester. It is easily to overlook, but I love the environment. It's very cute!!! You can park in parallel parking. It depends on what time you come and it can be busy to find a spot to park. When I entered the cafe and it was small. I loved the decoration the cafe had. It is very cozy. The guy greeted me and communicated with me easily. He showed me where I can make an order according to an elite Yelp event. He did a fantastic job and I enjoyed the dessert! We can watch him doing ice cream crepes on frozen plate machine then see him how he decorates your dessert! The cafe also is offering pho soup and banh mi (It's a Vietnamese sandwich. Next time I will try pho and banh mi when I come by. Thank you for an amazing experience! I would recommend anyone to try the cafe's dessert! It's yum!!!
Wonderful little place family run. You get to watch them make the ice cream right in front of you, and your customization options are great. Note: if you are familiar with 'fried ice cream ' like you find at fairs where they somehow deep fry ice cream this is not that it 's rolled fast frozen ice cream with custom mix ins, which to my mind is way better, but since I wasn 't familiar with the term 'thai fried ice cream ' before coming here and only knew fair fried ice cream I wanted to mention it.
Finally got a chance to check it out and yeah…. They nailed it, absolutely delicious bahn mi and crab rangoon. Nice work !
