Pelican's Nest - Rochester

Terrible service from the kitchen. Bartender went back several times to get our food without luck. After over an hour it finally went (after 2 separate tables that have already been ordered after us, my wife loved the fish frit and then I got a steak sandwich with a ratio of 10-1 bread to meat and blows. Never again. Terrible service.

The Ambionce was beautiful, although the food wasn't the biggest. My wife ordered a well-made burger, but received a moderate burger. I'd be ready to come back. I hope that helps them improve food service.

I brought a friend to dinner tonight because I always say good food. Tonight was terrible. I understand I was short, but tonight was just terrible. I ordered Calamari that I usually love and the crab cake sand that. The Kalamari was so overcooked and cold, and the crab cake was so thin... so much bread and my sand that got cold because it wasn't making the Chipotle Mayo and it took forever that he was brought to me when it was done. It was hard to question our waitress. She was hard to find so I really couldn't complain. I just wanted to figure out I was so embarrassed.

This is such a fun place to eat! It's right on the water and you can watch the boats go! The service was friendly but very slow (on week night). My biggest complaint is that prices are high, but the shares are small. I got boiled fish and fries and I still felt hungry after that. The fries were delicious and the fish was fine. This place is an amazing location and fun atmosphere. I only hope that the food quantity and quality changes will meet the prices.

Pelicans nest is a classic Rochester Summer place to be. I can bring my daughter here for lunch on a bright sunny day or come later at night to drink and dance with my husband. The food is predictable but tasty. The outside seating is a major plus for me, there are umbrellas on the tables. The menu feels right for the location, the classic wings and burgers but also some seafood dishes. This is not a vegetarian friendly restaurant. The drinks are well made. On my most recent visit my daughter got a burger and I got a crab cake sandwich, the crab cake sandwich had a chipotle mayo that brought it up a notch for me, the fries were seasoned and crunchy. The classic clam appetizer brings me back to my childhood. The server was really nice. We have and will visit often.
