Bidra med feedbackWe went there on sunday, nothing else was open, except for a van selling pizza. So we tried the sushi and it was amazing! Really good sushi with a nice rosé wine for a good price. The lady serving us was really friendly, trying her best to speak English. The atmosphere wasn't that appealing, but that shouldn't stop you from eating here!
We ate here twice in July 2014, once on the French national day Monday the 14th and then on the Friday of the same week. It was total coincidence that we arrived here on the 14th. With the bank holiday, a lot of restaurants were closed or already fully booked and we happened to notice that this was totally empty. We ordered the variety menu maki, gyoza, salads, plus drinks for two people for takeaway. It was quickly prepared with friendly service. The sushi is average. It 's not terrible, but it doesn 't come up to the today 's standard of fast food sushi people from bigger cities might be used to. The gyoza are to be avoided. They are obviously boiled/steamed earlier in the day and then put on a panini grill ?? to warm them up later. This has the benefit of reducing the fat not pan fried , but they are tough and not very tasty. Disappointing. The cabbage salad is a new one for me in a sushi restaurant, but was surprisingly nice alongside. Our second visit happened because we wanted something fast and light; in other words, something that most other restaurants don 't do on a Friday night unless you want pizza . This time we chose to eat there instead of doing takeaway. What a mistake!! There were no tables left outside, so we sat inside. And were very nearly forgotten. We watched as people who came in after us for takeaway placed and received large orders while we were still waiting for our drinks and it took almost 30 minutes before they even took our order . The difference in level of service we received compared to all the other tables was striking. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because of a busy Friday and not assume it was because we were the only foreigners/tourists. We had been willing to compromise on food quality because of the speed, but this quality level is not worth waiting 90 minutes to receive. If you 're in the area and are craving a few bites of sushi, then go for takeaway on a weeknight. It 's OK for that. Otherwise wait until you 're someplace where people know what they 're doing.
I admit that I was, at the same time, partially convinced and very disappointed by my experience with the sushi spirit. partially convinced by food, disappointed by the rest. the restaurant itself is friendly. green dominates it: paper towels, water bottle, high chairs. the decoration is cleaned, avoiding the trousers of Asian decoration, if it is the imitation of sculpture of large bamboo at the entrance. wooden tables are clean, like the sauce bottles that don't stick. The chopsticks are made of wood, which I prefer. As for the room itself, this is not huge, because it can contain about 20 people. it is possible to eat at the table or on the standing eaters. the map (fine in two places in the form of paper sticking to the wall) is very provided. These are dozens and dozens of makis, Californians, spring rolls, sushi and I pass what presents you. not count the dishes. However, everything seems to be prepared right now because I saw three people working in the kitchen. If the card was brought directly to me, it took more than ten minutes to order. This is the first of the weaknesses of this address. if the service is welcoming, alert, smiling, it is not effective speed. for a bowl of rice and twelve rolls of makis/pring, I waited for about 25 minutes! There were five people in the room, including me! So yes, a ramequin based on rice crackers was brought to me (this famous Asian blend we find everywhere, sweet-salted, far from being bad), but that doesn't do everything. Besides, I'm used to eating green tea. In an Asian cuisine restaurant, it's all the more justified. But when I asked for a tea, I was told there was no tea! Then go to a bakery to buy bread and not find it. it does not seem insurmountable – especially in the commercial area where the restaurant is – to find teas (even in bags) of good quality. I don't understand why, when a product is not available on the card, it is not indicated as a game entry. My lunch is still here. perfectly presented on a long slate, I saw arriving twelve beautiful bites, pleasant and fresh. but too generous to be eaten in one time, which is still the norm for makis and other sushi. That said, what I ate was very good. I ordered six fried chickens in california, a rocket, a parmesan, a pesto and a sesame. Unfortunately, I did not find the taste of parmesan, nor the flavor of pesto. which is a pity because it was those flavors that had me leaned for this choice. apart from that, I chose six rolls of spring goat, honey, nuts. I felt the goat, the least of honey and nuts. It was always gouty, but for Californians or spring rolls, I did not find the flavors announced on the map. Ramequin rice, served hot, was very good on the other hand. rice was sticky without being gluant, very slightly spit. However, the big problem happened at the end of the lunch. At the time of payment, it was told to me that the bank card was not yet accepted because the terminals had not arrived (such as tea, finally) and that there is an inhibitor: not to indicate that the payment by bank card is not available is dishonest! in 2022, everything passes through the bank card, in particular payment of professional fees. I didn't like it and I said it. In short, between a very long service, unfulfilled promises, the absence of tea and the obligation to pay in money, I did not taste my experience completely. for all this, I'm sorry but I don't recommend this address.
