Bidra med feedbackI don't think I've ever really been let down by any Five Guys establishment and this one was no exception. Located in the Winthrop Town Center there was definitely plenty of parking. When we arrived, there was literally no one inside. We were worried that maybe something happened and they weren't taking any customers, but apparently it was just the slow time of evening for them. We walked right up to the counter, put our order in, and off they were making our fresh burgers! The burger was flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and the rest of the veggies complimented it well. The only really issue I had was with the bun. It seemed like it was an older bun and didn't really hold well and began to break apart a few bites in. Five Guys is Five Guys is Five Guys, they've got it down!
Me and my little brother are in here for lunch! Very clean! Employees are very welcoming! Especially Brittany who was running the cash register! Very very friendly and nice and engaging with the customers! She definitely knows customer service! Helped me decide on if I needed to splurge on a bacon burger after my hard week of working out lol (she sold me on it) the food is definitely good! Hard to go wrong when you build your own burger!
I have a problem and a love for Greasy foods grease not only helps it slide down! But is delicious!!! There burgers are barrrrrr none the best ever with the choice of 7 million toppings and combinations your choices are endless. NOT TO MENTION THOSE CAJUN FRIESSSSSS. Do yourself a favor Order: Bacon Cheeseburger- Mayo,BBQ, grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, onion don't judge me!!)and grilled jalepenos and a Cajun fry whatever size fits your people) and then proceed to go on a fantastic voyage through flavor town!!!
When I first discovered Five Guys Burgers Fries 10 years ago, I really did like them. Their little bacon cheeseburger was always done very well with good quality meats and toppings. The French fries always came out hot and crisp, and their multiple choice soda machines were unique, giving further novelty to the place. Of course, this was in another state (California), in a town (Pacific Beach) that has many, many great eateries. Comparing California to Florida is necessary, because when it comes to food, Florida is (for the most part), EONS behind! Five Guys was launched in Virginia in 1986. It was then that the parents of four boys told them that they had a choice of either going to college or starting a business. Business boomed. Then, in 2002, Five Guys started to franchise out; so naturally, you are going to find some good locations and some bad. The location at Winthrop Town Center needs a lot of work, in both product quality and cleanliness. When you walk in, there are always several tables that are dirty with garbage left behind from customers too lazy or rude to pick up after themselves. My typical order, the little bacon cheeseburger an order of fries failed at every visit I've made here. Grease/moisture or a combo of both at no extra charge you could wring out the gross meat bun, partly because the way they wrap them in foil just before handing you your bag of food seals in humidity to create a soggy atmosphere for the bun. Ick. It's worse, the fries used to be good but every time I've been here they've been limp soggy. The offer of free peanuts doesn't make me want to go back, and besides, some locations here in Florida don't even have peanuts. OVERHYPED 13/100
Since I've already reviewed the Five Guys near the mall, I figured I'd go ahead and review the one close to my house (while I wait in line on a crowded Friday night). As usual, the staff does a great job of taking care of the long line, opening a second register to accommodate everyone quickly. I've become quite the regular, so I'm starting to feel like Norm from Cheers. As per my review from the other location, this is and continues to be the best burger joint in Tampa Bay. Have never had a problem with my order, and everything else (Fries, Hot Dogs, etc) is also incredible. Why is everything that tastes so good always bad for you? Anyway, I digress, all hail to Five Guys, King of Burgers!
