The crabs in Columbia were AMAZING! The 3 star rating was because I put a tip on my card, only to be told that the workers don't get the tips! In fact, there's a tip jar on the counter, I was told that the workers don't even get that! When I sent a message to the owners, the responses never addressed my concerns, but rather, continued to advertise their stores. If the crabs weren't great, I'd have given them 1 star.Parking: Good parking.
My 4th time ordering from RL crab. First two experiences were not great and I had doubts for a while. Decided to give them another shot and I must say I was very very pleased! My crabs were delicious sweet and juicy. True to size as well!
Love the crabs but hate the crabcakesI've had their steamed crabs, corn and cornbread and loved each of those items but I got the crabcakes tonight and they weren't great. They were small for the price, had way too much filler, the cakes were tough and felt overworked and had way too much seasoning.Like I said everything else I've tasted is great but I don't see myself ordering the crabcakes again.
Please see my review on Yelp for the DC and Columbia locations to address their cold response here and why it's so problematic. They get shipments daily. They have encouraged pre-ordering. They never tried to make it right with me. Very cold response for a customer who has spent well over $2K with them, probably close to $3K. One that has only ordered the largest crab available. I was only one order away (this one) from free food with DC. A few away from Columbia. Don't play with your loyal customers. It won't turn out well for your business. I say this as a business owner myself. Do better. I have supported this business regularly over the years. To the tune that I was one order away from free food. An order they weren't able to fill, which is why I am here.Two times in a row out of many they have not been able to fill my order when I ordered online. And their response and not taking accountability and figuring out how to make my experience better is where I draw the line. I wholly do not recommend if you need bigger crabs in a hurry.
