Maison Du Defricheur - Rigaud

On our first visit, we were joined by some friends. As noted by others, the menu may be limited, but what they offer, they do exceptionally well. The hostess surprised us with a delightful Guiney-Fowl-Terrine amuse-bouche, which we all found to be delicious. Our group tried three out of the four main courses, all of which were outstanding. The imported wine was delightful, and the desserts were also top-notch. The service was welcoming, friendly, and very professional. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

The food at this restaurant is delicious. The appetizers were fabulous and the main courses, such as the lamb and fish, were succulent. The private wine selection was excellent. However, the service was disappointing and unfriendly. I would recommend it for those with a big appetite, but I would not go back again.

We discovered this restaurant a year ago, but they are only open Thursday through Sunday. This year, we made sure to reserve a table for Thursday two weeks in advance. We made a reservation for 6 people, and were greeted by the owner as soon as we arrived. The restaurant is family-run. It was a tough decision, but my wife ordered the Arctic char with shrimp while I had sole escargots with shrimp. Both dishes were excellent, especially the sauces that came with them. Since we both ordered seafood, our host recommended a bottle of Chablis that paired perfectly. She also mentioned the dessert trio, which we couldn't resist. We each enjoyed a chocolate gateau, profiterole with vanilla ice cream, and a scoop of our choice of ice cream. We were very happy with our choice. We ended our meal with coffee and a plate of 4 chocolates, made by the restaurant's chocolatier. We even bought a box to bring to our daughter and her family. The next day, we continued on our journey, already looking forward to visiting the restaurant again next year.

This restaurant is located in a beautiful place in the landscape of quebec. in a clearing with a stream near it is a perfect location for a group party or romantic dinner for two. that was my first time here, and I hope it was one. to make annual visits. the food was excellent and beautifully presented. the waiting staff is attentive, the chocolate cake was unusual and very, very good.

Went here with the family to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed the food and service was fantastic. Thank you
