Gasthof zur Schmiede - Riedenburg

We drove through the Altmühltal yesterday and had lunch at the inn to the blacksmith as recommended by friends. It is located on a quiet picturesque location opposite the canal. The covered outdoor area uses the view perfectly. Service...was friendly and competent. Standard Bavarian farewell very well executed. We had a number of foods, including noodles, pork and Venison, each served with a salad plate on the side. The napkins were generous and nobody could harm the food. Perfect for what it should be. Excellent value too. If you take a ride around the area I would recommend stopping here for a meal. You won't be disappointed!
