Shiraz Grill and Cafe - Richmond Hill

Great place to kick back, watch the game and have some amazing food. Be sure to try their kebab dish.

Though I'm tempted to talk about why I hate restaurants that allow smoking indoors (in this case shisha indoors), I will instead mention only that if you ignore the smoke you can purchase food - to go - and enjoy it in smoke free environments like your home. Here's the food that I liked first: their tenderloin beef dishes (name escapes me right now) is a 5 star meat dish but to complete it you will need to pay extra to buy salad and dressing (I like the greek salad + dressing, and I also like to order tatziki). If you don't buy these you will only get 1/2 a grilled tomato with your rice and beef. Next is their koobedah dish (ground beef skewer). This is also good (though second to the tenderloin). Sometimes I order the dish that has one of each if it is for dinner. Food that I tried and didn't like or hated: chicken skewers. I don't know why, but their chicken tastes weird to me (something off about the marinade they use). I tried it in another nearby Iranian place that doesn't taste the same and is much more enjoyable. I bought this meal twice and regretted it each time. Lentil soup. This is by far the worst lentil soup I have ever had in my life. Do not buy from there unless you want some weird chicken soup with lentils thrown in. ugh. Joe's Shawarma down the road has much better lentil soup. Conclusion: this is my go-to place for grilled Iranian beef meals. Nothing else.

Average service.........average food........ Reasonable prices........convinient location........food takes long to be served.......place usually empty so easy to find table........music is so so.........what can I say.....access is easy and location is convenient!!

My boyfriends place is very close to many authentic choices. I asked my gps to find me something nearby and Shiraz was one of the choices. Small but clean and the service friendly. I'm not sure why its so empty at the dinner hour, but the food was tasty. The price was a little bit high for the portions, but I would go again to see what else they have to offer.

I have been ordering food from Shiraz for 4 years now , I absolutely love it, their food is excellent and delicious , friendly upscale environment , they have great variety of persian dining to Italian pasta to seafood , I love their salmon and curry,,kabobs are awesome , the good thing is their salad dressing its their very own recipie, they just did my party catering recently it's was stunning service , everybody loved their food and I truly recommend a visit for everyone if they visit oak ridges area and looking for fine dine out, good luck to owner , Shiraz deserve the best on their reviews , It's a must visit to Shiraz
