Soul Taco Shockoe Bottom - Richmond

I have to say, these were the best tacos I've ever tasted. They were so different and innovative - like shrimp and grits in a chili relleno, who would have thought of that? The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was vibrant and fun. I savored every bite of my meal...and don't even get me started on their margarita with a Tajin rim! If I lived in Richmond, I would definitely be a regular at this restaurant.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. However, the music was overly loud and seemed more fitting for a nightclub rather than a taco restaurant.

I made a reservation through Open Table but when I arrived on time, the restaurant didn't have a table ready. It took them a while to put some tables together. The server was friendly, but we had to ask for water and our cocktails and beer took almost 25 minutes to arrive. Despite the small size of the restaurant, the service seemed slow. There were some mix-ups with our orders and the food came out slowly, with some dishes not being warm. It also took a while for all the dishes to be served. When we received our bill, it was incorrect. Overall, our experience was not good, although the food tasted decent. We didn't order anything else as we were tired of waiting and ready to leave, even though I really enjoy tacos.

The food was fantastic and the ambiance was delightful, enhanced by fantastic music!

Ok so this was probably the best tacos I’ve ever had. They were interesting and innovative. I mean shrimp and grits in a chili reillino? Who thinks of this stuff The service was impeccable. The ambience was cool and fun. I loved EVERY minute of my time there... and don’t even get me started on their margarita with a tajin rim!! I would eat there every day if I lived in Richmond
