Portico Richmond

Went for our anniversary, we arrived 45 mins earlier but we couldn’t get seated (I guess they were full). We sat at the bar (bartender was very attentive, good service). The main salon is not big, but it doesn’t feel crowded. The food was good and the prices are ok (as expected for the kind of restaurant). The location is pretty good (not in a crowded area). They have enough parking spaces. The restaurant facilities (their set up, including the patio) are very pretty. My only complaint is that we had to wait longer than the normal for our server (every time), could be due to short staff and/or busyness. But, this is a very good restaurant, we will be back!

The food was very good... service was good but could have been more attentive and more friendly... perhaps our waiter had a lot of tables. Prices on some menu items seemed a little high but perhaps that's just inflation.

Best Calamari ever!!! I love the seafood crepes! The pizza is awesome! 2 of us had the special Short Ribs Rigatoni. It was outstanding! Service was great. The servers also help each other out. We LOVE this restaurant!

The staff is friendly, but they seem either under-staffed or overwhelmed by the number of tables they have to manage both inside and outside. This has happened to us before during Sunday brunch; while we were seated quickly, it took a long time for our server to come by. Normally, our server is very friendly and gets our order right, but they only check on us once and then we have to wait a while to ask for our check and for our boxes. The food is amazing, the staff is nice, and the orders are accurate. I would recommend going, but only if you're not in a hurry or don’t mind not being checked on frequently.

I absolutely love everything about Porticos. It’s our favorite restaurant, where we’ve celebrated numerous special occasions and enjoyed many date nights. I highly recommend it!
