Bj's Brewhouse - Richmond

BJ’s used to be one of my favorite restaurants. It is a great place to grab a beer. The menu offers many exciting selections, however the quality of the food does not match up to the price. The portion is big. Five stars for the half price specialty pizza on Monday and the take out deals.

Went for a late lunch with three people. Restaurant was pretty empty so everything came out quickly. We ordered the root beer glazed wings, barbacoa chicken and spagetti and meatballs. Portion sizes are HUGE. The entrees were acceptable, not a ton of flavor. But we all know we're really there for the pazookie. Got the trio with strawberry shortcake, chocolate chunk and hot fudge. SO GOOD so make sure you leave some room for one (or several)

Ordered take out. While it's not a 4 star Michelin restaurant, it's honestly a lot of decent food at a fair price. The pizza, spaghetti, salad combo was surprisingly good at the price. The pizza reminded me of pizza hut when it used to be good, the spaghetti was kind of generic but not bad, and honestly the amount of salad you get would be $40 at most fast casual restaurants. Too bad the place is in short pump....

Stopped in on a Saturday for the first time, and based on our experience, the last time. We should have known better when we walked into a mostly empty restaurant at 12pm on Saturday in Short Pump. Service was very slow even though there were hardly any tables in the restaurant and multiple servers working. We ordered an appetizer that never came out server didn’t notice and we had to ask them to have it taken off the bill. Beer was fine but the food was the biggest issue. I don’t think we’ve ever experienced such bland food. The only flavor on my sandwich was from the pickles. Fries were cold, slaw was gross we took a few bites and that was it. $60 later (3 beers, 2 sandwiches) we were grateful for the mobile pay option so we could get out of there quickly and find someplace else to eat. Great beer selection but the food/service was seriously lacking.

I ordered BJS from Uber eats and this is the poke bowl I was sent. It was missing half of the toppings and the avocados were brown and mushy. Our fries were also soggy. The wings and kids meal were great though which is the reason for two stars.
