What8ver Cafe - Richmond

Whenever I visit this restaurant, I always enjoy the cozy atmosphere, cleanliness, and cute decorations. I especially love the bone china cups they use for serving hot coffee. The coffee selection is fantastic, with my top picks being Mandeling and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe. The cafe has its own small roaster, filling the air with a wonderful aroma of fresh roasted coffee. The service is consistently excellent, which is something I particularly appreciate being in the same industry. I can't speak to the origin of their cakes, but if they are from Diplomat Bakery, I am more than satisfied as they have delicious cakes.

Everybody wanted to hang out when we got back home, most of all H’s mom. We went to Cafe Savoureux, one of her favourite spots in Richmond to relax with a cup of coffee:. We had a piece of the chestnut cake and a blueberry cheesecake. The chestnut cake was average, I wouldn’t go back for it, but the cheesecake was bomb! Would highly recommend. I had it with the Naporitano (an Americano with lemon), which was another first… Not sure if it’s traditionally made that way, but I quite enjoyed it. It reminded me of the time we had espresso and tonic water in Nanaimo. H’s mom had the latte. H had a pourover (not pictured), which he didn’t complain about. Apart from the really great cake, the shop was cozy but not overcrowded on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I think it does get much busier in the evenings, when the cravings for something sweet kick in.

My wife and I have visited this restaurant multiple times and we really enjoy it. There are few coffee shops in Richmond where you can relax and savor a good cup of coffee, tea, and dessert in a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so it can feel a bit cramped at times. However, we still highly recommend it.

Small and cozy. Good service. They even have the famous Blue mountain coffee here. I was actually surprised to see only a few customers on a Friday night.

Cafe Savoreaux is a cozy place with beautiful design and excellent presentation. The drinks, especially their specialty coffees, are delicious. The atmosphere feels like home, enhanced by the lovely jazz music. The decorative China plates on the walls add a nice touch. The cakes are tasty, though I did question if they were homemade. The antique finishes in the cafe showcase the effort put into decorating the space.
