Umi Sushi Express - Richmond

I play tour guide for my cousin from New York in the next days, they only have two days in Vancouver and stay at the Hilton Vancouver Hotel, we land at Richmond Centre Mall to make a special order from the Lego...shop so that we went to the Dining Terrace Food Court on the second floor for late lunch, it is a huge large raised mordant food court very airy super clean and relaxing environment, so many I can also go great lunch

The food is pricy for quality. The sushi tasted fishy and the tempura was not crispy. Staff are rude and have to work on their customer service skills. There are so many better options in the food dish.

We starved so we could bite ourselves quickly. Alway loves a good bowl of Udon when it's cool out. That was in a favorable position. We tried the Udon and Tempera. It's bad, but not writing at home

We ordered the Teriyaki beef and the Tempura Udon. The Udon was decent, but the beef dish was underwhelming.

Pork Katsu Don is a mainstay for any Japanese restaurant. This dish can be prepared in a variety of ways. My favourite is an onion and vermicelli (fine rice noodle) sauce over the steamed rice with an egg mixed in. A sliced pork cutlet is...place on top. As other reviewers have reported, the Umi Sushi dish is pork with mayo drizzle. My taste buds would have preferred an egg rather than mayo. I believe Tontoro means fatty pork and that alone makes the meat very tasty. IMO, the mayo becomes a distraction. The dish is $8.99 which is on the high end of the Katsu Don price range. Then again, they don't skimp on the pork with 4 big pieces. If the Dining Terrace at Richmond Centre is extremely busy, the price may also be worth it as Umi Sushi has plenty of seating only for their customers. There are counter stools plus family benches behind their service area.
