Bidra med feedbackI decided to try their regular chicken soy sauce ramen and was impressed by the flavorful broth, which had a rich oily texture that I believe came from chicken skin oil, known as chi-Yu. This made the broth taste authentic and similar to ramen in Japan. Unlike many ramen places in Canada, the broth at G Men was not lacking in fat, ensuring that it stayed hot until the very end. The thin yellow wave noodle paired well with the soup, and the toppings were typical for a ramen dish. The Cha Shu was particularly tasty. While my usual favorite ramen is tonkotsu or seafood double soup with thick, chewy noodles, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ramen at G Men. Overall, I would love to return to this restaurant in the future.
Excellent dining experience! The noodles and other dishes were just yummy! Good service, good food, but very limited seating. If you want to avoid the waiting time, I would highly recommend going there.
Great but too salty. I know ramen is supposed to be salty, but they confuse salty for taste. Quality ingreadient and service is always good. Price reasonable. Try the chicken is great.
I visited during late lunch and found the menu to be simple, offering straightforward meals. The ramen options include Shoyu, which is soy sauce-based, Shiro, which is salt-based, or a rich pork soup-based broth. The noodles were decent, served with half a piece of egg, 5-6 thinly sliced pork, green onions, and lemon rind. The portion size is ample for two people to share. I tried the Takoyaki, which I would rate 3 out of 5; the "tako" was a bit chewy for my liking. However, the Gyoza received a 5 out of 5 rating for its nice crust on the pastry and well-balanced sauce with the meat filling. The service was exceptional, receiving a perfect score of 10 out of 10. The servers were extremely polite, fast, efficient, and respectful, providing one of the best service experiences I have ever had. Their exceptional service truly enhanced my dining experience. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful meal.
This is my second time dining at G-men Ramen. The first time I came was 4 years ago, I did not like it and never went back. I thought the broth was way too thick and salty, I could not finish my bowl. This time, my opinion for G-men Ramen changed by 180. Not only did I finish my food, but craved for more! I think they really upped their game or maybe it is just that I ordered the right food. I came in for late lunch and it was not too busy (usually I see huuuge line up around their opening time at 5:30pm). Being one of the only two tables in the restaurant, the food came quickly.
