Bidra med feedbackGreat restaurant, lovely homely atmosphere, fabulous food and personal service from the owners. Used to be a lot busier so glad we could get back there. A real quiet gem.
I received a warm welcome at this restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the Chinese chicken curry that I ordered. It was flavorful and the portion size was generous with rice and chips on the side. I will definitely return in the future.
Called on chance as we were going shopping in Aberdare later, lovely older world pub, landlords choice of background music, but ever song was a good sing a long. Had to ask if they were open as we were the only ones there, we had a good chat with the landlord.,hes charming once you break through and really knowledgable, particularly on history of the valley's. Our food was fabulous.,i had sizzling steak, cooked perfectly my partner had pork chops again perfectly cooked. The chips were great, although frozen they were lovely and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. All in all we really enjoyed our visit and are already planning to return on a Saturday evening for a meal and few drinks and a taxi home. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon
Spot on. Lovely soup. Good hand pull. Great view. Top notch barman friendly, helpful, good local knowledge, especially history and the coastal path. The waitress had a technique for cleaning the tables better than any other I have noticed. And then there was the most unusual ‘ Gents’. We shall be back.
I regret to say that I had a terrible experience with the Sunday roast at this restaurant. The turkey had a moldy taste and smell, indicating it was not freshly cooked. It was served lukewarm at best. The vegetables were overly salty and we were only given one roast potato and a frozen Yorkshire pudding. I could have made a better meal at home. I was disappointed, especially since I came here on a recommendation. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
