Bidra med feedbackOne of the best burgers in the area. The steak sandwich is also great, cooked, like the burger to order. (Make sure to get their fries! A real treat. Because of difficulty finding staff to work, they have had to recently restrict their days of being open to Wednesday Friday. Even with that limitation, it is worth planning around their schedule. This is NOT a saloon; it is a 5th generation, family owned, family friendly, bar grill. The tap beer choices are great are certain to please any thirsty beer drinkers. Give it a try make sure to say Hi to Pat Dennis. They are always there with a smile a friendly greeting.
Service was ok until the end when two in our group asked a man who claimed to be the owner what shots were available. He became very rude and told us he owns the bar and he knows what shots they had. However, he was too angry to tell us and given the attitude they told them they were no longer interested. Service seemed to be less than smooth for him In particular. Don't dine here unless you want some washed up bar owner to turn down your money.
On a road trip and decided to try Pat 's bar. Had a great lunch and a very friendly server. However the owner/bartender gave us our tab before we were ready to go. We told him we actually wanted to add more to our tab. Aka Give The Business More Money! *we ordered a green tea shot, however server asked how it was made (NOT A PROBLEM, VERY NORMAL TO US) When the owner/bartender heard our question what 's the best shot you know how to make? He took it offensively and said he 's worked/owned the bar for X amount of years. and told us I will not serve you . So we were forced to go since that was the end of our welcome. We were a 4 party of all service industry, and knew that 's never how you treat paying any customer. We paid and our very friendly server tried to make it better after her boss ruined her table 's experience. Which was something we think probably happens often. Us 4 know restaurants and local businesses were hurt during the Pandemic, and know how to treat our same serving community. So being treated with disrespect we immediately knew being told we couldn 't continue our tab and wouldn 't be served anymore, was the restaurant/business worker deciding to purposely demonstrate horrible behavior and customer service. Food was good, i guess don 't ask the owner to make you a shot.
Was on a road trip and stopped in town for lunch- everything was good until some rude man who was working behind the bar, I believe the owner, literally shouted at my friends and I because he was busy we were being pleasant customers trying to buy another round of drinks. We are all servers at a restaurant and understand how it is when it gets busy and to be screamed at after having a nice lunch was absolutely ridiculous. I feel bad who my server who was very sweet but has to work in such a hostile environment with a man who seems miserable.
Delicious with a capital D . This was our first visit to Pat 's Tavern in Rhinelander and it will definitely not be our last. It was like walking into the local Cheers with our Hodag homie, coming in from the back to spacious and accommodating beer garden, to our friendly greeting by co owner Pam we knew we were in for something special. Special indeed, it 's Taco Wednesday WOW, their tacos are awesome. We tried the trifecta traditional ground beef, shredded beef and chicken...I won 't disclose the house secret, if you haven 't visited them before you 'll have to try them yourself. Dennis, co owner, joined us later to insure we had all the right accoutrements, complete with a handy scissors to open the packets of taco sauce and sour cream. We loved the food, the visit and the genuine home town hospitality thanks Pam and Dennis for making our first visit special.
