Bidra med feedbackWe were placed on the second floor and judged that to be preferable, much less noisy than main dining room. Our server Michael was excellent, gracious and had good suggestions and opinions, and did not try to sell me the most expensive thing on the menu. He made us feel very welcome. Food, as always, was excellent. I did feel as if they had a lot of presentations where the sauces could be overwhelming to the delicacy of the seafood, but I think people these days seem to like to have their food more spicy than not. Recommended Nd would go back again
We came for our anniversary. I ordered the sea bass with crab meat special and my wife ordered the gumbo. My sea bass was cooked and seasoned perfectly and was probably the best sea bass I have had. The gumbo was very good as well, a little spicy which made it that much better. We will definitely come again.
First time here and it was good experience. Our server was on point all night and the food was delicious. We got raw oysters and it was nice to be able to taste the difference between the different types. The Spanish Octopus was delicious but the hummus on the plate is the real winner. Our drinks were fantastic and our food was great as well. The gumbo was filling, spicy, and good bang for its buck. We got the cheesecake which was thick. Some people may want a more velvety cheesecake but frankly we enjoyed it. Overall, it was a nice dinner and we plan on going back.
I'm sorry but Passion Fish is consistently one of the beautiful dining experiences in Reston. The service is a attentive and gracious, the food is fresh, they have incredibly high standards for their seafood when many restaurants do not... Their wine selection is amazing, their servers are knowledgeable about cuisine and wine pairings, and the atmosphere is luxurious. Their outdoor patio is one of my favorites because there are options to sit outside even if it's raining ! Which is such a nice peaceful option in warm weather... They only complaint is the same complaint I have with most higher end restaurants ... which is that the music 100% does not match the setting and can even sort of mar the vibe. I understand why aggressive and sort of crappy pop music or even techno sounding dance music, might be used in a loud bar setting while people are there mainly to sort of party be loud with friends.... but in a higher end restaurant, where everything is very pricey, and it's the kind of restaurant you go to mostly to have conversation... Whether it's a business conversation, or just recreating with friends, especially people who are a little bit older, when there is an aggressive synth dance techno song blaring over the air, it just doesn't fit. In the bar area of Passion Fish which although has a lively happy hour, it still tends to be a place where mature people go to nice quality, and wines and cocktails, and have good conversation. I realize this is often a corporate decision that's out of the restaurants hands... So no shade, just making an observation! Otherwise, Passion Fish is seriously the best
This has always been our favorite neighborhood restaurant. IDK if it was because it was a Monday or whatever but with the exception of the grilled octopus the food was horrible. My soft shell crabs 2 for $55) tasted like old grease and my husband's scallops were the oddest color I have ever seen and not the best flavor. No good. The prices went up and the quality went down;
