We haven't been here for a few months but glad we came here today. Place is very clean. The staff were great! Special shout out to Shelly who gave 5 star service. We haven't seen this caliber of service in a very long time. The food was really good. We had the dinner size chicken fried steak, fish and chips, cheese pizza and their soup of the day (meatball soup-my daughter gave the soup 2 thumbs up). The fish was great-thin batter and tons of fish. Fries are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The pizza had lots of cheese. The soup had lots of meatballs. My husband really enjoyed the chicken fried steak. Just a heads up the Cafe is short staffed, but the staff worked their butts off to provide a great dinner experience. We will definitely be back.
When the best thing on the plate are the peas and carrots, that’s says it all.. we both ordered the prime rib.. the texture made it almost inedible.. it was almost gelatinous.. the weirdest texture.. Our dog definitely scored on that one.. I also asked for a baked potato with butter and sour cream.. I was served a plain baked potato. So I asked for sour cream and butter.. she brought a new potato filled with cooked bacon and topped with melted cheese.. I really don’t like cheese or bacon in my potato, hence my original order.. so, unless you want to feed your dog a cpl nights of prime rib.. don’t go to the Sierra cafe and order prime rib.. no matter the price, it was inedible
I forgot the name of my dish but it was amazing. There was so much food. The bacon was thick and tasted good. The sausage also had a good taste. I got a side of hollandaise sausage it was also really good. Our server was really nice and attentive. The only this that lacked flavor was the coffee. Other than that the food was great and the portions are nice for the price. I definitely would go back.
It’s a good place for steak and eggs. Just a regular diner. It’s up in the trees a bit for a change of scenery.
