A quiet, cozy French restaurant. they love seasonal menus that combine traditional French cuisine with creativity. the cheese selection is phenomenal. friendly service always.
That's more incredible worth eating exquisite. three courses of high quality food for £37. cheese course for extra £9 and amazing cheese. the camembert brulee entree was fantastic as the roasted duck porn. also tried the wild boar terrine for entree. superb. the service was impeccable, but not pretentious. the serbs were generous, genuine eating, well done.
Great environment, service in a tempo that works, food almost fulfilled expectations. between two of us the trout knödelstarter and Paris-Brest were excellent. the supper part seemed incomplete and the chocolate pudding with the mandarin sorbet did not work.
A fantastic little find. Unassuming (and even a little tacky-looking) from the outside, it takes only a few minutes from stepping through the door to feel as if one is in France. Polite, friendly French staff, excellent and interesting food (I had bonito tartare with a mango, cucumber and avocado salad as a starter, for example, although they also do a number of French classics). The wine list is also rather impressive. It's a shame for them that it's a little off the main drag, but it's only a short walk and only serves to make it feel more snug and special. Highly recommended.
