Bidra med feedbackWe ate at rocco dei Saraceni for my 60th birthday, the evening was excellent. The food was delicious, with impeccable service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE
We ate dinner alfresco in the restaurant or staying over for a night. The Food was quite simply amazing, in effect, Michelin star quality… from the appetisers to the starters to the pasta to the mains, and not to mention the most amazing, freshly cooked bread! And pretty decent Sicilian wines too. Whether you are staying at the agrturismo itself, or somewhere nearby, this is a must stop top restaurant.
Our experience at dinner was excellent. Service was perfect, realy good wine selection and presentation of food. We took degustation menu with 5 courses and i must say, that every cours was perfect, fresh food, good combinations. No complaints. Compliments to the chef and staff.
Our stay was unfortunately cut short due to a flight cancellation forcing us to leave earlier than anticipated and as such we were only able to spend one night here. I'll start with the only negative aspect, the Internet is not great and barely use able for even light surfing this wouldn't have mattered for us at all without the unfortunate necessity to use it to hastily look for alternative travel options. So in 99/100 cases this is completely irrelevant. Just bare it in mind if you are reliant on having Internet for your stay. Onto the experience itself. Wow. The location is exceptional, the views are just beautiful. On a clear day you have a prime view of the snowy cap of etna, the rolling hills which surround the hotel and far off down the valley which the hotel sits atop. Not only is the location excellent but its clear great care and attention have been put into the grounds too, perfectly manicured bedding areas and lawns with an array or colour and lovely smells. The gardeners are doing a hell of a job. The staff are friendly and attentive, cannot fault them here at all. The facilities are all clean, fresh and aesthetically brilliant, the hotel has a nice feeling to it and is a great mix of rustic and modern. The real stand out for us was dinner. Truly special, not only were the dishes we ordered perfectly cooked and incredibly good, we were treated to certain local delights. We were given, for free, a fresh, still hot, loaf of their own homemade bread to enjoy with butter and olive oil from the farm and grounds. Couple this with a 4 piece taster offering of interesting seasonal creations made up by the chef, really great touch. One of the best dinners I've ever had. Personal thank you to Luciano, a really good host and a credit to the establishment. All I can say is I'm sad I had to cut my stay short and leave early. If I'm ever back in Sicily I will certainly book here again.
Scelto come piano B, si è rivelato fin da subito vincente. Location molto bella, curata nei dettagli. Il nostro viaggio nel gusto inizia con uno spritz ed è stata la prova che sarebbe stato un giorno perfetto. Decorato con scorza di arancia e rosmarino e dal sapore che non mi ha fatto rimpiangere quello veneto.. ci accompagnano alla scoperta di questa avventura due persone preparate mai invadenti , attente cordiali. Scegliamo il menù degustazione terra e ..... Una sorpresa dietro l 'altra.. lo chef merita una stella Michelin.
