Bidra med feedbackGood drinks and my girl likes her fried mushrooms. Very interesting and unique interior and I know it's strange to say, but I like the bathrooms are always clean. It says a lot about a place.
Amazing food and drinks. We made up a drink we wanted and the bartender more than delivered. He was incredibly kind, professional and informative. We are on a road trip and plan on coming back on our way home.
The food is always delicious and portions are generous. The bartender, who was also our waiter for lunch, has waited on us a couple of other times and remembered the beverages we usually order with lunch. That was impressive and a pleasant surprise. ?
This place has been around forever! As I recall, they changed hands several years ago and the same people own Maxwell's. They have the selection of food, always been good. Service is usually good, depending on the time you are there. It has a fun, old school feel to it and isn't too loud (Like Maxwell's . I love wraps and they had a great turkey n swiss wrap that was probably more heathly looking than it was, but it tasted great. I tried to duplicate it over the weekend and ended up wearing most of it ; oh well, I tried.
This was my first time at the Post Office Saloon and was excited to check it out. The restaurant was very clean and the decor was well designed and comfortable. Our waitress was friendly to a point but since I usually go to restaurants shortly after the lunch or dinner rush (one of the advantages of being retired) she seemed to be ready to go home. I ordered a **** Mary and asked if the steak sandwich was a good choice. She said that it was popular and that everyone loved it. The drink was very good, I would give it an 8/10. The mix was thick and just a little bit spicy, the vodka (house brand) was in balance to the mix and the drink was well dressed with pickled asparagus, olives, lime and lemon slices. I was charged $7.50 for it which is about right. The steak sandwich was another story. I had requested it be cooked to medium rare but when I saw how thin it was I was surprised that they even bothered asking me how I wanted it cooked. Seriously, the fries were thicker than the steak! It was well seasoned and was served opened-face with onions and mushrooms but my first three bites were all fat. The rest of it was tough and over cooked. I only ate half of it and when the waitress dropped of the check she asked if I wanted a box for the rest of the sandwich. I told her politely that I really didn 't care for it. She replied, Oh well and left. For $16 I expected better. I will not be hurrying back to the Post Office.
