Tack's Sandwich Shop - Reading

I visited this place as a kid and haven’t been back since 1997, but it hasn’t changed at all. They have the best hoagies you’ll ever find; you won’t taste a better tuna or cheesesteak anywhere. Please don’t change a thing!

The restaurant offers reasonable prices and has a friendly, relaxed staff. Their ATV bakery rolls are fantastic, and the sandwiches are excellent as well!

Delicious food and friendly staff! Anyone who says otherwise probably worked there and got let go, so they're just bitter. I highly recommend this restaurant, and the service is quick as well!

I visited on Tuesday evening around 6 PM and found the restaurant closed, although their hours indicate they should be open until 9 PM. This raises concerns about their business, as I ended up choosing another place to eat. I tried calling, hoping they were simply busy, but when I drove by, the lights were off. It's clear that things aren't what they used to be. If they want to draw in more customers, closing early on a weekday isn't the best strategy. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but I've noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food compared to a decade ago. The sandwiches have shrunk in size, and the sauce no longer has the same flavor. They should really think about bringing back the old staff and revamping the original menu. Those ladies used to run a fantastic operation, and the food was consistently delicious.
