Canal Street Pub And - Reading

I'm not sure what changed here, but it's definitely not the same as it used to be. The dining area seems to have lost its purpose and no longer feels like a place to enjoy a meal. The menu options are minimal. What a disappointment.

Was there for a Celebration of Life for my Uncle. We were set up in the back room. They had a very nice set up with good appetizers and fruit tray.

Food sucked and so did the service My food wasn’t done waited for ever to be served and we where the only people in the restaurant couple employees at the bar who got their food first Service was the worst !!!!! Fish was undercooked Fries was raw smh !!!!! I don’t recommend anyone going to make reservations and still get the worst service I had better service at McDonald’s

We hadn't visited this restaurant in years, but we went for an early dinner on Friday night. The crab cakes were delightful! The salads were freshly prepared, and I particularly enjoyed the sweet potato fries. Everything remains as great as we remembered from our last visit. The food is excellent, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable!

My wife and I stopped by Canal Street Pub for dinner. The beer selection was average compared to other places. We were surprised to find the restaurant wasn’t busy for a Friday night, which raised a few concerns. It felt a bit like we had walked into an episode of Bar Rescue just before Jon Taffer arrives. The service was lackluster, especially given the quiet atmosphere. I received my salad only after I got my entree. When my entree arrived, the chicken was piping hot, but the rice was at room temperature. Both the chicken and the rice were tasty, though. My wife ordered the panini special but instead received a ciabatta sandwich. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it should have been advertised correctly. We were both taken aback by the prices of the meals, which seemed to be a result of supply chain issues, slow business raising prices, or perhaps a combination of both. It has been a couple of years since our last visit to Canal Street Pub, and it looks like it will be a few more before we decide to return.
