Kale Me Crazy Village District Health Food Raleigh

Shocked that made-to-order fresh juice wasn't available. Thought they once were but looks like bottled juices are the only option besides smoothies.

Decided to splurge today for dinner. I got the chicken pesto wrap and it's delicious! Not cheap, $13+, but it's actually really substantial filling. Really tasty. But everything's pretty expensive.

I went into Kale Me Crazy today and tried to order two smoothies. First off, the girl taking the order did not speak English. I had to point to the smoothies on the board and she still got it wrong. On my smoothie, I added a shot of espresso and my daughter 's we left out the apple. We have these weekly for years. Once we finally got them we both knew they were wrong. My daughter 's tasted like grass and mine was straight peanut butter. I brought them both in and asked to have them remade or refunded. The same girl, repeated no speak English and pulled up translator app on her phone for me to speak into. I spoke that they tasted horrible and to remake or refund. She made a phone call to someone who later I found out was the owner. They spoke Spanish and then handed me her phone. I was told they would not remake the smoothie since I altered the smoothie by adding an ingredient and she would not refund due to same reason. We 're talking 23.00 here and she didn 't want to make it right! Her girl working couldn 't speak English or read English. Did it ever occur to her that her employee didn 't make the smoothies correctly because she can 't read what 's in them? I asked who was the owner and she said it was her and I reiterated that I wanted a refund and she said policy is no remake or refund. I said you lost my business . This place has a sign on the door looking to Hire people. The two girls in there don 't speak a lick of Spanish and made my smoothies wrong and the owner didn 't make it right. Unbelievable. I 'll never go there again. I advise anyone to stay away too.

Loved my whole experience at Kale Me Crazy! The food is superb! It's fresh, nutritious and hearty!The staff was friendly and was well-equipped to serve the great fare! The Recovery smoothie and the chicken pesto wrap with sundried tomatoes on gluten-free were a great balance! My husband doesn't like vegetables. However, he loved his chicken wrap. The ambiance had a cool vibe and the restaurant felt welcoming. All in all, just wish there was a Cary location. I would probably go there once or twice a week!Great job offering real food which is close to Mother Earth! Best of all, we were there on Earth Day!

Food is great but the appearance of the shop is underwhelming. There are usually kitchen supplies all over the common area, the countertops are unfinished and the service is usually subpar. For the price we pay, I would hope the overall customer experience would match that.
