The Honey Baked Ham Company - Raleigh

I recently had my first lunch at HBH and was pleasantly surprised! My family orders a ham from here every year for the holidays, but I never thought about trying their lunch menu. It definitely exceeded my expectations!

From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with an immediate sense of warmth and hospitality. Whether it's the mouthwatering aroma of freshly baked ham or the friendly staff, it creates such a delightful atmosphere! The sandwiches are fantastic for lunch and catering, and they make holiday celebrations so much easier with options like ham or turkey, which are definitely worth every penny. Back in my college days, I was part of a sports team, and our coach would order box lunches for our away games—something I always looked forward to! This location has a wonderful vibe, and the food is outstanding. I just wish this photo could transport the delicious smells to you because you're truly missing out!

This is a fantastic spot to pick up a meal or sandwiches. The service is quick and friendly.

I understand that it’s a very busy time for Thanksgiving, but the person at the counter was quite rude and aggressive. When I approached the counter to show my barcode to the cashier, she refused to look at it, saying she couldn’t read it despite the instructions indicating to show it. She then asked what I had ordered, rang it up, and requested payment. I explained that I had already prepaid, but she reacted very rudely and berated me for being in the wrong line. I was in the pickup line, but it seems there was a separate line for prepaid orders and another for payments, which wasn't clearly indicated. I apologized for not realizing I was in the wrong line, but at that point, there was nothing I could do. I understand they are busy and likely overwhelmed, but there’s no need to treat customers poorly. Perhaps next year, better signage could help resolve this issue.

I had an excellent experience today while getting some ham. The RPD was assisting with traffic and parking, which made everything so much smoother!
