Bidra med feedbackYesterday in Raleigh (8/19/19) and dinner here. It was good, though the service was a little slow. This morning at 9:40 a.m. left for breakfast and although the sign frankly said, not a single soul came out to serve us. We were definitely not calm because I dropped my bag on the floor. We didn't think someone was there, so after 10 minutes. When we went out the door, I saw in the window of the kitchen door and noticed that a man leaned on the counter. Ignoring your customers is certainly a good way to run a business.
Yes, this is the best cod I had during my 7 days stay in West Newfoundland! We originally booked an ecological reserve tour with Ted, which turned out to be the owner of the restaurant. Fish and chips are very fresh and delicious. What is included in the tour is a great meal with moose sausage, cod and cheesecake.
The best lobster sauce we had during our trips to Newfoundland, and we had a few! The fisherman's board was great. Cosy place where you can meet people from other parts of the world. Great hosts and service. All homemade.
I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We had breakfast with homemade fishcakes and moose sausage that the owner Ted and his family hunted. The food was delicious and Ted answered all questions about life in northern Newfoundland. He also offers guided tours of the Burnt Cape Ecological Reserve. We didn't have time to take him up on that, but I'm sure it would be a great experience for anyone who can make time for it.
Absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend! My wife had the cod dinner with bake potato and loved it. I had my first moose burger here and fell in love. Wish we could get moose burgers back home (Ontario). Small and cute place. Service is great and staff are very friendly! Would definitely come back here.
