Bidra med feedbackWe had our Christmas party at this branch. The food was fine, nothing great. Their chicken was a little bland. The only one I love are their caramel bars. The place is spacious, although a little dim. The Staffs are friendly and accommodating.
Was here for Max's chicken all you can promo, and their chicken is pretty much fine. It doesn't notably stand out, but it's good enough especially along with their ketchup, and it's just a classic of Filipino culture at this point.
We learned from one of Max's Directors, Ms. Carolyn Salud, that this branch is where Max's all started. Actually, they are working hand in hand with the government to preserve some of its parts since it is already part of our culture and heritage. Also, this branch has big function rooms for events. Thankfully, I was able to attend an event here. What they served were the Max's fan favorites. We had the following: 1) Soft bread with butter - I think this would have been good to eat if the bread was served warm. If they could only do something about it just like what they did with the butter which was submerge the butter in ice. 2) Pancit Canton - Their pancit canton is saucy and flavorful. No need anymore for the calamansi they provide. 3) Kare-Kare - Delicious <3 It's definitely one of the best here in the Philippines. 4) Fried Chicken - I don't know why but they chicken I got seems to dry for me. Good thing they have banana ketchup. 5) Lumpiang Ubod - This one looks deceiving. It's actually heavy in the stomach. Along with the sweet nutty sauce, it's a perfect appetizer and snack. 6) Buko Pandan - I found their Buko Pandan too sweet and I didn't like the color of it since it looks too greenish for me. Best branch (because it's so close to home), and I love that they've improved their parking + they have plenty of function rooms for parties. Couldn't take a lot of pictures this time, but this Max will be my forever favorite. Of course their fried chicken is a must-order, but I also love their sizzling tofu, lumpias (shanghai, sariwa - you name it, it's all good!), and kare-kare! [+] brownie points: clean bathrooms (YESSS!!!) and the place is baby-friendly! Lots of high chairs available and room for strollers. Servers are so friendly and accomodating as well. I'm considering having a birthday party here for my bebe girl, and I'll update my review whenever that happens. I'd love to see how they handle parties!
