One of the most complete Asian fusion buffet restaurant here in the metro I love the fact even with mass production of different cuisine they still maintain the chef’s quality for every cuisine.
Satisfied with the selection and the flavors of the food on my last visit. Huge fan of Japanese food, so I dove right into their maki and sushi spread. Really loved the quality and the variety of their sushi and sashimi. Everything was excellent. Also liked their selection of raw food for grilling. Seafood was fresh, marinades were flavorful. You can also ask to replace the grill when it's dark and charred. Plus points for the crepe station quick and efficient service. Limited fillings, but you can always add more toppings from the rest of the dessert spread. Things I went back for aside from sushi: Japanese wheat noodle Alfredo something. This was soo good! Japchae Menchi Katsu Crepes Ice cream (they have Matcha!!! Things I didn't like too much: Takoyaki. Texture didn't feel right. Was dense and weird and it was too oily. This was saved by the sauce, mayo and toppings. Wouldn't have been able to finish it otherwise. Okonomiyaki. Too thick and didn't have much flavor. Ebi tempura (or tempura in general . Beautifully fried but was so bland. I love ebi tempura, but I had a hard time finishing this. Steak. Too gummy and too much litid. Huhu Was happy that I didn't get too much of those, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish them. But overall, was a great experience. Food was fresh, didn't encounter any problems with service.
Good food selection. Love how attentive their staffs are. Don’t forget to try their premium avocado ice cream. The best avocado ice cream for me so far.
I don't mind having instant noodles or canned goods all day...Just as long as you take me to Sambo Kojin for dinner! I believe it opened November 2010, if I remember it right. I was strolling around Eastwood when I noticed the huge tarp placed in front of Something Fishy. Sambo Kojin serves mostly Japanese and Korean cuisine. The restaurant is bright, clean, modern. The servers are friendly. Back then, the rate was only P595. Now I think it’s about P800 but several options have been added. They also added several marinated meat choices due to the recent popularity of “Samgyupsal”. The wide array of Japanese favorites were heavenly. Sambo Kojin was one of the first buffet resto that offered various sushi choices. They also serve Kamameshi and Sukiyaki.
