Bidra med feedbackWe live in the area and have started going for Sunday breakfast at this restaurant. We usually order the special, but sometimes we choose from the menu. The portions are large! All the meals are homemade and the hash browns and fries are made from real potatoes. The breakfast omelette is a great way to start the day. If you happen to visit on a Friday, the fish and chips special is a must-try. The pies are made on-site and are delicious. Banana cream, coconut cream, chocolate cream ... all excellent! The restaurant is seasonal (April/May through September/October) and is open Wednesday through Sunday. It's worth a visit if you're traveling on Highway 97.
I lived in Quesnel for over 40 yrs moved away 10yrs ago but come back for a visit every year and always stop at this cafe. It was my favorite when I lived here, for the best food, friendly service they always have time to stop and chat for a few minutes. Had the fish and chips, usually I can never finish the chips but here they use fresh potato to make the chips.
My husband and I have been stopping at this cozy cafe for years and we always anticipate our visit whenever we are traveling north or south on Hwy 97. The food is fantastic, all homemade and fresh, and the baked goods are superb. You must try a piece of their fresh baked pie, with homemade pastry that is not frozen or premade. The banana cream pie is their most popular, but they also offer rhubarb when it's in season, as well as apple and other flavors. The homemade soup is delicious, with cream of mushroom being my favorite, but they offer a different soup every day, served with a freshly baked soft bun. The owners are very friendly, and you can enjoy your meal inside while chatting or sit outside on a nice day. The property is beautiful, making it a great stop for a meal or just a coffee if you need to stretch your legs on the road. The focus here is on the food and the friendly atmosphere, rather than the decor. Please note that this restaurant is seasonal and is not open during the winter.
Came here for a conference and i was amazed by the food so we decided to come back to try their usual menuI took the gigi and it was AMAZING.
The best gelato in Montreal. I always make sure to reserve a cake whenever there's a chance, like for birthdays or events.
