Paillard Cafe-Boulangerie - Québec

This spacious bakery offers a wide selection of delicious French pastries.

Paillard was decent. There was a long line, but it moved quickly. The bakery items were alright, but not as delicious as those from smaller, independent bakeries.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, but the service was very slow. The almond croissants were flattened, cut open, and spread with something.

I tried their café au lait, croissant, escargot au raisin. Waited in line for about 30 min on a Tuesday at 10:30am. Pastries were good, but I don’t think I’d wait for an extended time again for them.

At first glance, this brand promises not to be disappointed. And yet the pastries were not a great success. The Swiss bread was dry and without cream. How is it possible ? I do not recommend this tourist trap that sells so-called French pastries!
