Da Bruno Pizzeria - Putney

Will add Da Bruno to my list of local pizza faves! The food is good and the service is friendly and best of all good value. The pizzas tasted even better the next day! The bolognese pizza was my favourite so far but I have to come back to try more of their soccer themed pizzas and other Italian dishes. Actually they have home delivery and pick up too! Love it!

Fantastic traditional Italian food. The best woodfire pizzas in Sydney. And the nutella pizza is to die for. Thankyou Da Brunos for wonderful night.

This has to be the best Italian restaurant in Sydney, if you are after real traditional 'Mamma ' cooking! A hidden gem!The Tiramisu is to die for and the lasagna are my favourite. It 's a family business, very friendly service and intimate atmosphere as it 's small. Book in advance to avoid disppoinment. Perfect for dates (and other event).

I want to be just in this review as my family and i have been coming here for years and recommending to others!To be fair, the food is delicious, I cant complain. Pizzas, dishes and pasta always hit the spot when you are looking for authentic neighborhood Italian.Now for the reason for my 2 stars:I made a booking for a large group that we were treating and there was another table for a large group, so it was safe to say the dine in part of the restaurant was busy. As a business owner myself, if I knew that I had 2 large groups I would accommodate by having enough staff.... Well no, it seems they had one chef and one waitress I know you know where this is going...Entrees came out timely, yet the mains took 1.5 hours to be served, and to be honest by the time they came we were all over our meals and just wanted to go home. It was a waste because nobody really ate much, and the bulk of it was either left on the table or taken home to be fed to our dogs!When this was addressed with the owner and his waitress daughter, their answer was sorry we got smashed with pick up/delivery orders. I am sorry, that 's just not good enough. My answer to you is this: We are patrons in your restaurant, waiting for our food, and you have prioritized takeaway orders, rather than serving the people supporting you and trying to have a nice time in your restaurant. It was obvious you were very short staffed, and having bookings as well as presumably knowing how busy your takeaway part of your business is as you have been there for over 20 years, you really need to have more staff!So, all in all, you have lost lifelong customers as you embarrassed us in front of our friends that we were treating and were rude about your explanation. Such a shame!
