Bidra med feedbackOutwardly nice place, empty when nine of us arrived. Nine coffee orders mucked up, then came the meals,of the meals one was correct seven were finally semi sorted after a 45 min wait with one ready to arrive as everybody was about to leave. I would struggle to recommend this establishment to my worst enemy.
I like supporting local businesses and have been meaning to go to The Nook for some time. The setting was lovely and waitress very nice but so overpriced for the food we got. $25 for a small "tapas" style dish is disgraceful and it wasn't even anything special. Very dissapointing and won't be returning
Have visited here before and food was excellent and reasonably priced. Now under new ownership, portions were small and tasteless. Very expensive for what was delivered. Will not be returning.
OMG! Absolutely wonderful food, fantastic atmosphere, gorgeous setting. Can't keep away from the place, I keep introducing my friends & family to The Nook and they all love it. The staff & owner are very friendly, over the top service. Food is to die for, very generous portions & a great range on the menu.
I went there with my mother for mothers day. We had reserved a table but seeing as we stood at the front for ages and no one approached us we sat ourselves at a free booth. After about 5 minutes trying to get the attention of one of the extremely young and extremely bored and oblivious waitresses (why are all the waitresses like 15 years old? Literally all of them! They don't know how to serve customers yet!) we called over this tiny waitress and asked her for some menus and water. Without saying anything (seriously? Not even a yes?) she turned away and brought back some water glasses and water. She was clearly new because she even struggled to pour the water and pass it to us without spilling. She disappeared and never brought menus. Ughhh so I went up to the front counter and asked for some menus. The girl there looked so confused, and very flustered, like getting us some menus was super hard or something? She said she would find some menus right away and bring them. It was all very odd... Then she brought menus but no wine list so I yet again had to go up and ask for the wine list. We mulled over the menu for a long time, trying to decide between like 5 over-priced and fancy choices. We then settled on some expensive steaks and proceeded to wait for the server to come and take our order... We waited. And waited. Trying to make eye contact. No waitresses approached us. No one even looked our direction. Like we were nothing! We were absolutely desperate for coffee by now so we decided to call up another cafe 5 minutes away called Bare Bones and asked if they had any tables and they said yes come on over! So we waited 5 more minutes (been at the nook for about 30 minutes by now) and when we were not served we got up and stormed out. What an extremely horrible way to start mothers day! We went to bare bones and they immediately accommodated us, gave us coffee and a delicious meal that was large, filling, gourmet and not too expensive! They kept coming to check on us and they were extremely friendly unlike the horrible horrible girls at the Nook. Seriously get your act together! I've had so many friends complain about you too. I don't know why I thought this time would be any different. Such a horrible cafe! Don't go!
